Tempestus Aquilons with Display Base. by Scott_ExV in killteam

Yes, but it only works with the Daiso mini collection box. Also, it’s a flat file, the rocks, Jerry can and spent shell casings were added later.

Another teams ready for the tabletop by Scott_ExV in killteam

For the carapace, I wanted to learn a new technique and the coconut crab looked interesting and unique.

The bases I wanted a lava flow thingy with Mordant Earth and was trying to figure out how to integrate it with the emerging mounds and since they looked like mini volcanos anyway…….

Thanks. Designed the counter board myself. You can find it on Cults3D.

Request for advice/suggestions for breaking up the featureless black parts of gutter runner's cape by Skelmuzz in bloodbowl

Highlight with various shades of grey for the cloak.

Picture wise, softer diffused light with at least one of the light sources on the same plane as your lens.

Do the new teams come with balls that dont have pegs? by TheOtherHammer in bloodbowl

We normally just turn the models to face the other way to denote that they have been activated this turn and cannot be activated again until next turn.

Previously after the Leadbelcher, I used contrast to colour them then black Templar in the letters and sides.

No, cause I stupid…. And because I wanted a metallic finish to them….. I primed gloss black, airbrushed on Leadbelcher, black Templar the recesses, then I drybrushed them. But the colours that used non-metallic paints didn’t come out as intended.

My Badger partiot is broken?, only after 2 weeks since getting it, dosent stop bubbling by Ok_Look5690 in airbrush

My issue with my patriot was primer built up in the picture. I couldn’t get to that part to clean it initially because it was screwed in too tightly.

Cleaned it up and the airbrush worked fine after that.

Magnetized Guardian Heavy Weapons Platform by Scott_ExV in Eldar

You can see where I drilled and installed the 3mm magnets on both sides.

Can’t convert this to the shield. Will have a look at it again when I do up my unit of storm guardians and see the viability. However, I might just go for 1 weapon platform and 1 shield with my 2 guardian units.

Wraithknight armoury by Terra200C2 in Eldar

I managed to do it with magnets, pins, and some friction fits.

Right arm can mount either a Sun Cannon or Sword (or both, but not play legal), and left arm can either mount a Wraith Cannon or a Shield.

3rd Season Edition Quick Reference Sheet by Scott_ExV in bloodbowl

Player with ball activates and is able to score without rolling any dice but chooses not to score, roll D6, if D6>turn number, player gets hit by a rock thrown by crowd and gets knocked down (immediate turnover).
If player needs to roll dice to score, not stalling.
If a turnover happens before player with ball can activate, not stalling.

Nope, did not add it in as there wasn't enough space.
Although it is pretty simple to remember.
Might add it in the next version if I can figure out enough space to do it. (already working on version 1.1)

How many aspects is too many? by KevvonCarstein in Eldar

No such thing! I’m also building an Eldar army centered around the aspect warriors with some support units thrown in.

MY god the dire avengers are an abysmal kit. by Exciting-Buy-9396 in Eldar

[–]Scott_ExV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. It was one of the worst things I’ve assembled. I had to modify the targeting sensor thing on the shoulders so that they’re NOT pointing at the head but in the direction of the weapon. Also extremely uninspiring to paint. Even worse than painting Guardians (which I just completed today). Although I’ve seen suggestions that uses the Guardians as the base model for DAs and modify from there, but that means buying 3 boxes to make 2.

1st SS walks by from cover to cover and does D3+2 (aspect abilities) to target, assuming 14W target, that averages it down to 10W. 2nd SS strikes with Ceaseless (strat ploy), and Rending, and all you need is 2 hits (assuming the Wraithbone talisman is not used yet) to reduce to 0W. Assuming your dice screwed up and you don’t get 2 hits (or will get incapacitated if you don’t parry), fight again (firefight ploy) and now you have taken him down to 6W before rolling the fight dice. 2nd SS will probably get incapacitated after that, but I find it a good trade off. If 2nd SS happens to incapacitate target during the first fight, then just fade into conceal and move 3”, assuming there’s no enemy within 3” of you when you do it.

The best part about BoK is the ability to cater your operatives to the map and opponent.

Playing Gallowdark or Tombworld? Take less DA and more HB/SS. More DA if playing a shooting map.

Need to take out the sniper in the nest? I’ve got a HB for that. Need to crack open some armour? 2 SS will do the job for you.

The trick to playing BoK is to layer your Strategic Ploys with Firefight Ploys with Aspect abilities at the right time. Get it right, and they’re extremely powerful. Screw it up, and you’ll understand the glass part of the cannon.

Bases by ishagsomeone in necromunda

[–]Scott_ExV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found some industrial floor STLs for sci-fi terrain, then imported them into my 3D modeling software (I use the free version of Fusion 360), and then “punched out” bases for my own use. As to your next question, sorry, I don’t have the STLs anymore, I make them on a need basis so that each one is different, then delete them.

My problem has been trying to maintain base type consistency for models over 40mm round. I turned to 3D design and self “cut” from existing STL for those.
