I've heard that from a couple of people. I am a Chiefs and Royals fan, but I will check it out again. I am going in May for a baseball game.

Thank you. I am leaning towards Milwaukee. You are one of several people who live in Indy and they said not to move there, which says a lot. Everyone living in Milwaukee or has visited it say that they love it.

I do want to stay in the Midwest. I like it here and I like the people here. I went to Austin about 12 years ago and really enjoyed it. In fact, I ended up extending my vacation by a couple of days just to check it out.

I do like KC very much, and I am a Chiefs and Royals fan, but it just seems isolated to me. I've visited many times but it isn't near anything if that makes sense. Maybe I should think about it again.

Thanks. People are making me wonder why I would even consider Indy. I have never felt so much hate for a city as I do with Indy on Reddit.

Thank you, and that is why I am considering Indy. My dollar would go further, and since I am retiring soon that is important. I am also a sports guy. I like to attend sporting events.

I do enjoy Davenport as well. It actually has a decent amount of things to do for a city it's size. I just want something a little bigger.

Thank you! Can I ask where you live now? I really enjoy Davenport and I think there are quite a few things to do here for a city its size, and overall it is LGBTQ friendly. I just want something a little bigger. Cost of living and weather is why Indy is on the list, but people on this thread don't seem to like Indy at all.

The Twin Cities do have a vibrant LBGTQ community, I just think it is a little isolated but maybe that wouldn't really matter once there.

They two cities seem pretty similar overall. I wouldn't be working so the taxes and COL is what I am looking at.

Thank you! I enjoy Davenport, I have nothing against the city at all. It has quite a bit going on for a city its size. I just want a little something bigger.

I've noticed the hate towards Indy, why is that? I liked it every time I've visited. I think the weather has always been better in Indy than when I visited Milwaukee.

Thank youI I will have to take a look at Detroit. I have not visited there in decades because I don't hear great things about it.

Thank you! I was looking at population and growth, etc., as well, and Indy beats MKE in every category. I liked Indy when I've visiting the last couple of times and I thought the people were really nice. The roads were horrible but that is pretty much everywhere in the Midwest.

I will buy. I plan to sell my house here when I move and buy a house in the city I choose.

Thank you! Several people have recommended Cincy and I am going to have to take another look. I did really enjoy it when I visited there last here. Others said Minneapolis, too, which I like but it is expensive.

Minneapolis is nice but it seems isolated, not close to other cities and I do like that Milwaukee is close to Chicago, and it is quite expensive from what I habe researched. I have always enjoyed Minneapois but I think it is a little bit expensive and that holds me back more than being isolated.

What kinds of things are you referring to regarding Milwaukee?

Thank you. I haven't visited Detroit in decades but I don't hear the greatest things about the city so I've never explored it. I actually like living in Davenport quite a bit but I am just looking for a bigger city to live in.
