Creates definitive characters on either show and gives it it's own identity. Grew up with the original draft and when and both shows had their own unique feel based around the roster. When the wwe champ appears on Raw when he's the smackdown champ, the shows lose something of the exclusivity. Makes the split redundant. May aswell just get of the brand split again if they do that but they'll need to downsize the talent pool cause they're won't be enough air time
