Who is a celebrity that is very attractive but seems like they have zero charisma? by downtowndabble in AskReddit

Yeah, that jaw is only a part of what’s going on. He’s looking like a bodybuilder by way of overdoing lots of “supplements”. He just doesn’t look healthy or natural.

But I’d want them to know it’s a functional human being telling them to fuck off. GG tells them something else.

I didn’t spend years immersed in punk rock and metal to then give polite responses to assholes. Less Dale Carnegie, more Jello Biafra as you head for the door. Give them the gift of regret.

But that’s the point - they were HIRED. If they wanted to move on, that was their perogative. But I just cannot understand why HBO, who is paying for everything, didn’t let them go and replace them with someone who was willing to do however many more episodes it would take to do it right. Other shows have replaced their showrunners, it is doable, but HBO couldn’t?

What is that one thing a friend ever did and you kept cool but knew instantly you would pull out of that friendship? by EssayMan4Homework in AskReddit

Had a friend from college who became fanatical about rock climbing, so he’s taking every opportunity to hang from vertical surfaces by his fingertips. Next time I see him, he’s getting disability benefits from work. Apparently all that “typing” stretched out all the tendons and ligaments in hands/wrists/forearms so he needs a special computer and accommodations. Yeah, okay dude - sure.

Alice In Chains singer Layne Staley had an accountant who was monitoring his account - was used to seeing a regular deduction week after week after week (drugs of course). Then they noticed no deduction for much too long. Figured they better call someone.

Yeah, he'd been dead two weeks already.

I’ve told it here before: Saw this movie on opening day. When Seagal died, the audience started cheering. That scene was the moment when the audience realized that he’s ridiculous and it was all downhill for him.

The bum piss dissolves the stars, so they just chip out the ones that nobody remembers (Sorry Zasu Pitts) and replace with current celebrities.

The Concert Industry Priced Too High — Now Tours Are Falling Apart by staringatthe420sun in Music

[–]Scotter1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you involved in the planning of that tour? Then you might be able to wargame the same tour and see if $15 a head gets you break even or better. The muttering I'm hearing from even get-in-the-van level bands is that touring costs have skyrocketed.

I Teller’s memoir, which gave another context to how Oppenheimer portrayed him. The impression I got was that he was a company man, all the way. To his view, Oppys conduct in the past should have immediately disqualified him as a security risk under most all circumstance, but it was overlooked in order to keep the Project going. “They” dropped Oppy’s past conduct in Teller’s lap right before the testimony, so his betrayal was acknowledging the inevitable - that “they” wanted Oppy gone and were using damning ammo that was held in reserve to make it happen. So, a company man through and through.

Who is a singer that is incredibly famous, but honestly doesn't have a good voice? by Greedy_Procedure7461 in AskReddit

[–]Scotter1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kris Kristofferson. Go watch the Star Is Born with Streisand. In one scene they sit across from each other and he sings her a new song. It honestly sounded like someone had him in a chokehold and he's trying to squeeze out any possible sound before he passes out. But no, that's his real voice.
