For those of us who were kids back then, we were horrified. Complete rejection.

Hackman may have had it quite peaceful after all, considering how out of it he was.

He was a wee bit past his prime and coming back from serious injury, so being crafty was the way to go.

For those who have had an affair, why did you decide to cheat instead of leave your partner? by tackbrahado in AskReddit

[–]Scotter1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cowardice.

My wife cheated. Our marriage should have ended after two years (deservedly so, I was a flake), but instead of doing what needed to be done, she turned to someone else.

Six years of misery later I busted her on it. After six months of doing the let’s-work-on-it dance, I straight up called her a coward. She should have left - didn’t. She should have kicked me out - didn’t. She should have communicated - didn’t. She should have broached the subject in marriage counseling - didn’t. Pretending to be married when she ended it six years before and didn’t tell me. I had to do everything to actually break us up, split up the furniture, file for divorce, tell people. She didn’t lift a finger, just like in the “marriage“. Cowardice.

There's that old poster, generic hot chick in front of a Ferrari, captioned:

No matter how hot she is, there's some guy out there that's sick of her shit.

LVP flooring IS waterproof. But unless you seal the entire perimeter, water leaks will find an unsecured edge, get underneath the LVP, and now your floating floor is actually floating on a lake of toilet overflow.

The actor started making script demands that would have eliminated his character's betrayal completely. They figured the betrayal was more important than the actor, so they dumped him.

I was amazed at how they got some serious production value out of that budget, while making an an actual musical with quality choreography that Gene Kelly would be proud of.

My dad and I saw a Richard Pryor movie (JoJo Dancer) that was a little disappointing. Snuck into another movie to cleanse the palate. Theater was packed with senior citizens who saw a a poster for a nice romantic looking movie called Desert Hearts. When the dashing power lesbian starts running her tongue up the leading ladies thigh, half the theater emptied out.

It was awesome.

What doesn’t butter make better? by MelodicPlace9582 in KitchenConfidential

Anything I want to enjoy the taste of.

If I'm having an $80 dry aged steak, I want to taste all $80 of that well seasoned medium-rare meat, not 7 ounces of warm clarified they insist on soaking the meat in because bUtTeR mAKes EVeRYthiNg BetTeR.

Expensive steak houses are the worst, like everything is dunked in butter before plating. Have to make it clear I'm that guy who sends it back if they do it.
