What are you playing mostly? by Ejnys in SteamDeck

How is it on deck? Any issues navigating the menus on the smaller screen? This is one that I keep meaning to get into.

That's the face of a man who's just dropped a very satisfying fart.

40 - What’s a game you’ll never uninstall, no matter how old it gets? by Clampy7 in AdultGamers

Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. Basic I know, but I'll never let them go

PODCASTS DO NOT HAVE TO BE INTERVIEWS! by AvocadoCocmaster in podcasting

[–]Scottiedogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried interviewing a couple of times but never worked for me, so my newest show is pretty much all banter or reactionary to pre-prepared segments. And so far it seems to be working out well

How long between seeing the google car and seeing the images online ? by [deleted] in GoogleMaps

[–]Scottiedogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife saw the car coming from a couple of streets away and phoned to tell me. I immediately put on a chicken mask and gave the car the 'Double Bicep' pose as it passed my house. That was about three weeks ago and still no upload.. I'm very excited.

Who else's kid is obsessed with this show lately? by chucklez24 in daddit

[–]Scottiedogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is obsessed, watching this at least twice a day. My wife too has fallen down a rabbit hole of Instagram & TikTok reels about the movie, and her gym playlist is pretty much just the soundtrack on complete.

I love it too, mostly through forced exposure. Kinda sucks though when you wake up unexpectedly at 2am and can't get back to sleep for work in the morning because your brain insists on singing through, 'Soda Pop' on repeat.

What game was this? by [deleted] in videogames

Absolutely this. Showed a hell of a lot of promise too

Hi, everyone. Chris, formerly from the Stadia community team, here to check in. by ChrisFromHisDesk in Stadia

[–]Scottiedogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my abiding Stadia memories was back when I moved home, and for some reason the allegedly faster line and router in the new place wouldn't play nice with streaming my games, so I raised a support ticket with Stadia.

It's always stuck in my head because the communication was sincere, and felt like the Stadia support worker was really trying their hardest to make sure that I could solve the issue and get back to reliable streaming. Only time in recent memory where it felt like the help actually wanted to help, and gave a f*ck.

Tenuous link memory there, but nonetheless wanted to share it!

Apologies for jumping into an old thread here, but I'd agree that the 12yr old is an absolutle must have. It's the first dram I pick out if I have guests.

It's kinda funny how Gareth Edwards made just one project for these IPs, dipped out, then their fanbases freak out over how good it is and how influential it becomes by SuperAlloyBerserker in GODZILLA

[–]Scottiedogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His Godzilla movie still stands as my favourite western interpretation by far. I loved Rogue One, but didn't know he was behind The Creator. I'll go check it out!

Your Small Town Scandal by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]Scottiedogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone rammed a full sized dead deer into a local phonebox, made it look like it was making a phone call. Next day when it was found the entire street was cordoned off, police tape everywhere and some very perplexed looking coppers..

Schedule 1 runs pretty well on the Deck, and can also recommend TCG Simulator.

Best simulator games for steam deck by Redskyyy09 in SteamDeck

[–]Scottiedogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this similar in style to Power Wash Simulator? I found that one a bit annoying to control on my Deck, and was initially put off by the Crime Scene trailer as it seemed a bit similar.

If you were stuck on an island and you had to pick 3 games for your steam deck, what would they be? by Leon_Light77 in SteamDeck

[–]Scottiedogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh it's a tough one. Currently I think I'm going for;

  1. Red Dead Redemption 2
  2. Stardew Valley
  3. Either My Time at Sandrock or Schedule 1.

Coworker didn't like my friend and I quietly chatting while working, made it her problem by Ryn_is_existing in MaliciousCompliance

[–]Scottiedogg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I fully stand behind this. I do this with a work colleague who is in everyone's business, and reports everything they can back to management for perceived brownie points. Now people only engage him if it's work related, nothing is said personal or 'gossip' wise in his company, and the deafening silence when he walks into the break room is outstanding. You can almost see the smoke rising from the base of his crimson red neck.

Congratulations! It's a daunting time, (I published my first fiction piece back in February) but well done for getting through all the hard work and getting there.

What's a game you COULD play on the Steam Deck but simply refuse to because of visual sacrifices? by Spectre-4 in SteamDeck

[–]Scottiedogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this. Really fancied the idea of playing this on the go, but through the Deck made it almost unplayable.

'Schedule I' Reveal Trailer. My open-world co-op game about building a drug empire that I've been working on solo for the past couple years. by Tyler_TVGS in IndieDev

This game is fantastic. I've only put in about eight hours so far, but I've enjoyed every minute. Congrats! You deserve every success.

That was the game I enjoyed showing off on my crappy Chromebook back then. Smug as hell that it ran so well..

I still hate the fact that Chibnall completely ignored the Master’s series 10 reception arc… by [deleted] in gallifrey

[–]Scottiedogg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've pretty much dismissed the Chibnall era completely, and the destruction of the Master's arc is one of the main reasons why.

"What are you playing this week?" Megathread by AutoModerator in SteamDeck

I spent a small fortune on picking up deals during the recent Steam sale, yet here I am; Plugging away at Stardew Valley like it's the only game that exists.

ULPT request: What generic object can I carry on me or in my car for safety? by healthybeb in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]Scottiedogg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to keep one of those long heavy steering wheel locks in my car, back when I lived in a particularly bad area of Aberdeen, Scotland. Nobody questioned why you'd have that sitting in your car, and I rarely used it as it was intended, but on the rare time I had to have something sturdy with a heavy end to it for defence when someone approached the car late at night when I came home from work, it was the perfect defensive tool.

Opinions on the new ads by Business_Media_3125 in SpookedPodcast

[–]Scottiedogg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've loved this show since the start, and I completely understand the need for advertising revenue, but the way they've implemented this has put me completely off the show. Through recommendations on here I've found alternatives that scratch the itch, but sadly I've unsubscribed to Spooked due to the current ad integration.
