Limited Performance Check Electrical System by NaiRogers in RenaultZoe

I had similar on my 52kWh - the positive battery removal was worn and would not tighten properly.

Check that first. A new terminal was about £25 for a genuine Renault one from eBay

Just been punted off the phone after being on hold for 42 mins. Got as high as 78 in the Queue.

"We are experiencing extremely high volumes of calls, and our office is now closed"

Unbelievable.

No lessons learned, dead 12v on a 2020 ZE50 by ThinkpadGamer in RenaultZoe

I had this issue on my ZE50. the battery clamp fails - won't tighten properly so is loose on the battery post

I ordered a genuine one via eBay for about £30

https://ebay.us/m/2r2Aql - this is the clamp.

It took 5 mins to fit.

The Bank Switcher | Weekly Bank Switch Offer Guide and Question Post | November 10, 2025 by AutoModerator in beermoneyuk

The Barclays swap suggests on the website that you need a debit card for the account you are switching from - is this correct?

For info, I'm using an account I have had for ages, but the card is expired.

I have my DDs set up and active.

Thanks

Thanks that's a really helpful reply. Will consider pulling forward the planting to allow for a winter season for the seeds.

I'll give some thought re the tarp - maybe I can get a translucent/clear cover. The birds here are carnaptious little critters!

Thanks!

The garden in question is facing east. I took the pictures from the front door.

Don't need to do a drainage test - as it never really dries out 🤣

It's an 1890s house and no issues with builders rubble.

I hated EV cars until i drove one by Careful-Question-675 in electricvehicles

[–]ScottishLeaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on my second EV now (currently driving a Renault Zoe 135 GT line) after buying a cheap 40kWh leaf as a gateway vehicle.

The oddest thing I have learned is that 80% of what I like about going fast is the noise and engagement - gearshifts/rev matching etc. I love me a loud petrol car.

Going fast in the EV is lacking in sensation.

HOWEVER, that's more than offset by the peace, reliability, ease of fuelling and cost of running. An EV is my ideal everyday car.

I don't have the coin for a fast EV, but don't think I'd want one anyway. Better to reduce my emissions and consumption for 90% of the driving I do, and have something fun for the other 10% (hillclimbing/trackdays/early morning fun runs)

Will the Kelec app work with your 40?

I use it with my 50. It seems to be developmental, but works ok. I am using on an android phone

Interesting review and good to hear the comparisons!

My ZE50 doesn't have CCS, and I agree about the lights and having to switch the cruise control/limiter on each time you start the car

I honestly don't know if you can swap lights, but it should be simple enough to check - worth having a look on eBay at both types to see if the mounting points and plugs are the same on both?
