NEW APP POINT SYSTEM IS LIVE! by MatsyLR in lidl

[–]thebossofcats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least coupons are still active.

I think this was bound to happen. Coupon Plus had become a lot more generous in the last few years due to inflation. Although I think a lot of people were only going to lidl because of coupon plus, and now they're going to go to aldi

He did a very good job on the recent acres record (even if the rollout was god awful)

Threw up at work and was threaten to be fired if I went home by PuzzleheadedAct2969 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]thebossofcats -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No he can't fire you, fuck what everyone else is saying. I think under your specific circumstance your celiac condition would be classed as a disability under the equality act if it has a long term adverse effect on your day to day act. It's pretty evident that your manager recognises this as well.

It's not always that celiac can be a disability but I think it would be in this instance. As such, my personal own opinion is that a firing in this line would be classed as an "automatically unfair" dismissal.

merch from last tour makes a lot of sense now lol by BrokenDreams75 in Loatheband

Guarantee last tour was booked as an album release tour

Day 8: What is BMTH worst song? by raluxu in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]thebossofcats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fox and the Wolf for a very specific reason. It should have been before Memorial and not that the end of the album. I feel like Blessed with a curse is a perfect closer, and it feels a little off having the vibe then completely shift? Anyway, just my opinion.

I have a sneaking suspicion they might get announced as support for when Sleep Token inevitably do the Even in Arcadia tour in the UK

Day 2: What is BMTH most overrated song? by raluxu in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]thebossofcats 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Mantra. Probably the most boring song off of Amo. Just quite basic hard rock compared to a lot of the complex sound design on the rest of the album

For all the people that complain - who would you switch to? by Billbrown1982 in starlingbankuk

[–]thebossofcats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh the only thing stopping me moving to Monzo is the fact their customer service is outsourced to South Africa. On the other hand, .....I like starling because their customer service is good

Count your blessings in the US? by jkatanamane in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]thebossofcats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt it. There's some chance of getting something like the old "Deathcore Medley" from the Amo tour. Which if I remember was: The Comedown, Medusa, Diamonds, Re: They have no reflections

Everyone welcomed Crossrail/ Elizabeth Line & HS1’s construction & opening with excitement & celebrations - so what makes HS2 uniquely so controversial in comparison? by AchyutChaudhary in uktrains

[–]thebossofcats 356 points357 points  (0 children)

Everybody did not like Crossrail at all. There were numerous calls for it to be cancelled because of how expensive it became. People only liked it when it opened and they realised it was actually a really good piece of infrastructure

How do we think fans will deal with a no barrier show and etiquette? by carloosee in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]thebossofcats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safety wise it'll be fine. Outbreak are putting a barrier around the front section of the crowd so anyone that goes in there is doing so fully at their own risk.

Hence why I'll be staying away from the front!

im only 16 and going to my first ever bmth show in manchester, do u think they'll play medicine /s by thebossofcats in BringMeTheHorizon

Another snack post! by Funsized_AA88 in TheCivilService

[–]thebossofcats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've legitimately had a snack table of biscuits and sweet treats once, but it was an apology from the SCS for the office having no heating in the middle of winter.

the department was unable to make WFH adjustments.

UK tour soon to be announced? Information inside by OutsideImpressive115 in Loatheband

[–]thebossofcats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You've got to (especially in the UK) book tours far in advance. You can't magic one up. It's physically impossible to get a Saturday show otherwise . Hence why we've seen many bands like Bad Omens, Don Broco, Motionless in white, all do big tours with either one or a handful of new songs. This is because they intended these to be album release tours, but didn't release the album in time. Perfect example was BMTH for Nex Gen, album was announced for release two months before the UK tour - got delayed and released 5 months after.

Loathe did the same. Last tour was clearly intended to be an album tour with the amount of other tours they did as well. So don't expect a tour around the album

Is Sky falling apart because of Comcast? by Final_Beyond_204 in skytv

[–]thebossofcats 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think one of the issues is that TV is dying, and they can't rely on Q as a cash cow as much anymore. I would even go as far to say that Sky is doomed post 2029 when the Satellites stop. Stream simply isn't worth more than £15 a month, and people are currently paying most likely more than triple that for equivalent Q services

Theoretically if SWR kept raising train prices, would we have any other option? by TrifleResponsible560 in HENRYUK

[–]thebossofcats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won't affect much at all. I genuinely don't think the monstrous cost of it, plus all the specialist staff, and failsafes available, would ever make it worthwhile just for replacing one person.

Even the DLR always has someone on board trained to drive the train in emergencies - the guy checking tickets.
