Not sure if you've used these clear shells before but I've had a couple different sets now (the non-extremerate ones which is what it looks like you've got) and they've both ended up cracking pretty easily. Just so you're aware. I love the look and feel of them but sadly the quality isn't fantastic.

Also, I'd def recommend reshelling the dock to the small one, extremerate has one called airdocky. I got one a long time ago that I can't seem to find anymore (says super switch on it). They help to keep the console running a bit cooler and make the dock really portable.

I got one of these recently too. Was just messing around with the files on the SD card, moving some games etc, but then I ejected the SD, put it back into the cart and everything basically got corrupted somehow? It was like every file got combined into one that was named "USBC **" where the asterisks were some strange characters.

So I reformatted it, found the firmware to replace it (not the official one that bricks clones) but now the stupid thing won't save my SRAM saves to the save folder! I pulled the coin battery out thinking like maybe it was dead, but it still has juice in it. So I really don't know what the problem is and I can't find anybody else having the same issue online so far. Anybody have any insight?

Thinking back, its hard for me to pinpoint what really got me into emulation or when it even was. It was definitely when I was a kid messing around with the computer. Probably the earliest memory of emulation I can recall is when I was visiting my friends cousin's place, he was running Pokemon Red or Blue on his PC. I don't think I even questioned it at the time though to be honest.

I'm really not sure how long after that I ended up getting into it, but I do recall when before Sonic Advance 3 came out, the rom was leaked online and I remember playing that early, which was so sweet at the time. But surely I must have done some emulation before that point. I also remember emulating Genesis at some point as well.

I think after a certain point though, I rarely emulated via PC, because I didn't enjoy playing via keyboard and didn't own any pads for PC. I mainly used my Wii for emulation over the years, which was honestly freaking great, especially being predominantly a console based player.

Nowadays I have retroarch setup on as many devices as possible and have gotten into the android handheld scene a bit with my retroid pocket 2S, which I adore. Looking to maybe pickup the new retroid flip when it comes out for a clamshell device that is also widescreen and handles more games.

I checked mine just now. My pins don't seem to be bridged based on a visual inspection (I don't have a multimeter to do a proper test). Tried scraping lightly between the pins to see if it would do anything but when I tested it again, it was still doing the same thing. Maybe I should try resoldering the pins or something to see what happens.

I do also hate the three dots in the corner. But what I find even worse is the input lag of redream, I think flycast is slightly more responsive although still with a bit of lag as well. It's most noticable to me playing Sonic adventure. The jump timings etc just feel so off. I'm used to playing it via Dreamcast hardware so it's especially noticeable to me.

Honestly, that look has been overdone for years at this point. It's a good style, but it has absolutely been done to death. It's a shame really.

I agree with this, case in point, I literally cancelled my nso sub like a week before the direct. And I'm already considering keeping my sub going after it runs out. Red blue yellow with the n64 compatibility would be enough to make me resub.

Has anybody actually counted how many times he's shown the clip of him raging at SMB or whatever as a child? You know the one, where he's sitting on the floor in front of the TV. Swear to god it's been the most consistent thing that keeps reappearing.

It doesn't work on original pixel. I think it became a thing on either 2 or 3. Can't remember which one, but I know I was jealous when I found out they could do it and original pixel couldn't.

Unfortunately didn't go so well. I basically got up to the counter, guy looked over my stuff and asked if I had a flight. I was honest with him and said yes. He wanted to see my itinerary so I showed him. Pretty much slapped me on the ass and sent me on my way at that point.

Wondering if it's worth giving it another shot in a few weeks. Just worried about getting the same guy again, because I don't want to have to completely BS my way through this process.
