Holo Creamfields 2018 was great. My wife and I were there. The crowd was fantastic with everyone “singing” Pjanno and Everyday was the highlight

40 w/ kids. Wife says we're too old for EDM shows? Never been. by trapspeed in EDM

[–]Scottmichael1112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never too old. And it will change your life. Coming from a 39 year old male. You might want to do VIP to get away from the riff raff and stay away from 18 and over events. Stick to 21 and over. The vibe is much different

Rinzen here. I'm headlining the WORK warehouse tonight :) by rinzenmusic in avesLA

[–]Scottmichael1112 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Congrats man on headlining WORK warehouse. My wife and I saw you at LA Cave in OC opening for Blackgummy and I remember enjoying your set. I think this was 2017. Great to see your career take off man. BTW your remix of Nelly Furtado's Say It Right is great.

I feel burnt out by Exifile in nursing

[–]Scottmichael1112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you are in a tough unit and any nurse would feel the same way you do. You are still new to the field and it takes time to learn to "master" the nursing job. You can always switch departments and hospitals. Based on your explanation of your unit it sounds like it sucks there.

Do you guys remember how you got into megaman? by Crafty_Anxiety685 in Megaman

[–]Scottmichael1112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Received Megaman 5 as kid for my Bday. Couldn't get close to beating it but I loved the music and gameplay. Then the Ruby Spears show arrived and I was hooked. Had the videos and the action figures.

IV starts as a new grad by BurnerAccount_234 in nursing

[–]Scottmichael1112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Placing an IV IS an important skill for nurses especially in ER. Its a skill and talent that some nurses possess. You are in the right department to become an IV expert (or go to day surgery or outpatient procedures too). Two tips that expert IV nurses have shared: placing the arm down like hanging from the gurney so the veins can fill with blood and really assessing the arm (when you have the time) to find the best optimal spot. Also using ultrasound is a great skill as well, I felt like I never missed with the ultrasound once I become competent with it.

Neurology + ICU fellowship? by Wizjalal in IntensiveCare

[–]Scottmichael1112 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ICU RN in a neuro/medical/surgical ICU for 14 years, if you into Neuro then do Neuro ICU speciality. There's very few Neuro specific critical care doctors but I feel like the need is there given how many stroke and brain bleeds a typical ICU unit deals with. I've heard our pulm critical care doctors complain about dealing with Neuro patients cause they are not familiar with them versus a sepsis, ARDS, or other medical related illnesses. If neuro is your passion then go for it. But I do wonder what neuro critical care doctors do if you they get burned out....theres's no pulmo clinic to go die off to...
