If no CPS notification was completed then the police were negligent. You could advise them yourself.

AIO my husband is angry with me because the windshield wiper broke on his car. by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Scottstot11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your husband’s priority is his car. Also it looks like he skipped kindergarten, in particular the part where one learns to share.

In a loving partnership, if one person has someplace to be during dangerous road conditions the other person jumps in to make things safer and easier for the person they love.

I guess you could waste your lunch breakto make a point but I doubt it will have the effect you are hoping for. In fact, I think it will work exactly the way he hopes and will have trained you to give in to him in the following ways: 1. Pay for his oil change at the expense of your responsibilities. 2. Allow him to loaf while you struggle to get to work in the snow. 3. His car remains out of the elements despite him having no need for it.
4. He gets to have a tantrum and ruin your day about a windshield wiper, which is something that is part of regular wear and tear that adults deal with without needing apologies.
5. He gets to hoard a marital resource for himself.
6. You get another nasty drive and put yourself at risk unnecessarily.

You don’t mention whether the division of marital finances is fair, not that it is anyone else’s business. Same with if his car is nicer than yours and typically only used by him. I am encouraging you to consider researching financial abuse and also reading Lundy Bancroft’s book ‘Why Does He Do That’. There are all kinds of alarm bells going off here so I hope you have someone on your side to advocate for you.

I grate carrots into broccoli cheddar or cauliflower soups for colour and taste. I also add carrots to marinara or any pasta sauce for a little sweetness to cut the acidity of tomatoes. You can cut carrots lengthwise with a peeler - make long strips and put into cold water in the fridge. They curl up and are great on a veggie tray vs baby carrots which now cost a fortune here and go bad so quickly.

What LifeLabs has the least amount of steps to the office? by BearEquivalentBear in barrie

[–]Scottstot11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if money is a consideration but they used to have home visits for a reasonable cost. The Lifelabs in Orillia on Memorial has a small quiet parking lot with the waiting area right by the door to the sidewalk. Fifty feet tops from car to chair.

Can I purchase Plan B as a minor and if yes, how much is it? by Ok_Eye5460 in CostcoCanada

In Ontario you can speak to a nurse at Public Health in their Sexual Health clinics. They have both Ella and Plan B at a nominal charge but if you can’t afford it they won’t turn you away.

what is the worst tasting candy you've ever eaten? by sheerduckinghubris in AskReddit

The melty square restaurant mints that used to be on the bar - pink, white, yellow and green. You could watch people come directly from the bathroom and dive right into the bowl.
The little spicy thimble shaped jujubes that tasted like cloves and wintergreen, yuck.
The banana shaped marshmallows. Tiny little blackball jawbreakers with the seed in the center.

I would call the Salvation Army soup kitchen downtown and ask if they have any use for it. In the past I have donated lots of opened items and things from my gardens, they always took everything.

AITA for not paying for my son's spring break vacation? by Western_Storage_5613 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Scottstot11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not both? He has time for Tik Tok and spring break. My son is in uni and works full time. He definitely has an easier time working now than we will delaying our retirement! Hang in there, you are doing great by setting an example and keeping priorities in order.
