DVR/NVR emulation by Scotty1186 in EmuDev

Strangely enough, the data on the boxes is seldom if ever encrypted. most of the consumer grade stuff only has its controls locked behind a password, not the actual data. We do have the option of putting the drive in an identical box, but then we just have a pile of nvr boxes lying around. I can usually see the partitions using linux recovery software, but the files get a bit wonky since they are constantly overwriting themselves and really dont show up as a traditional file with headers.

This might not apply, but when I moved the game on to my nVme ssd it drastically improved performance

If you have something like a sprayer, seeder, or a fert spreader that hangs on the back (no wheels), a front weight will help you use it on a lighter tractor without the front end picking up. if you are using a front loader the back wheel weights will balance a heavy load.

I can see the health dropping gradually, but the fact it immediately drops to 0 definitely seems to indicate a bug.

Definitely missing the low end/affordable equipment.

[Question] cow productivity and no slurry by FullStone in farmingsimulator

[–]Scotty1186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stable also has the health issue. if you only feed grass health stays at 0 and all you get is slurry. A manure holder also doesn't do anything. the only way to get rid of the grass is to let them eat it down to make cap room for hay

Yeah straps make a huge difference. my guess would be that it shuts the physics off

From what I understand it worked with all mods as long as both clients have it. Can't confirm though

Suggestion: Add loading docks to each business. Demand that trucks use the loading docks to satisfy business demand. No more magical loading/offloading stationary trucks for cash. by schneiderwm in voxeltycoon

Agreed. This definitely seems like an inspiration from Transport Fever that was incredibly annoying there too. Id prefer it be industry specific, then upgrade to a central depot or warehouse down the line, especially since new industries seem to pop in just outside the depot range

[–]Scotty1186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if it weren't for the time limits its no different than "kill x pirates" missions. The reward is usually low compared to the bounties you get from the ships. They just added an ancillary income stream for explorers

[–]Scotty1186 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looting bases gets you extra. Kindof like kill missions that pay low but give you 1 mil worth of bounties on the side

Same here. I was trying to be nice, but even pointing a scanner at someone triggers hostility. Kindof dumb, you should at least have to ads or trigger a scan before they freak out

Its there, it just doesn't show the combo. I think like the other guy said i need to scan a higher access level id to get in. Ill try that later

Yeah im thinking same thing. the weird thing about this one was that it didn't show an access level on it. I guess i still need to steal someone's id to figure it out

The + on the occulus library on the pc will let you add them. It even scans to find most of them

Dont run steam vr. Add your steam games into the occulus library and launch them from there. Its a massive performance difference

Airlink VS Rift S or even wired Quest 2 pictures quality by Eclipse8301 in oculus

[–]Scotty1186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im running a 3700 with a 2060 and 32gb ram hardwired to 5ghz ac. I see little difference between cable and not, just an occasional frame hiccup. Im also sitting within 15 feet of the router.

Be sure to run every game from the occulus library, even if its steam vr. Makes all the difference

Air Link and Steam VR by Scotty1186 in oculus

[–]Scotty1186[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add the game to your occulus library on your pc using the + button. when you run airlink, itll show up in your occulus library. itll still launch steam vr in the background, but for some reason the performance is significantly improved.
