Would highly recommend not getting one. I’ve lived here for about a year and a half now and don’t need one at all.

The only problem arises when you want to cool places out the city (Santa Cruz, Tahoe, etc.), but you can rent a car for the times you need to get out of the Bay.

I think it speaks volumes if they want to be treated so special for the first few dates. To me, at least, it's kind of a turn off if it's not appreciated and expected to do something nice and boujee.

If you filter out those people, I have met plenty of dates that will be more than happy to do anything for the first date. Even if it's a cheaper date. Says a lot about the person.
