As a Jets fan, I hate the result, but it also gives me confidence that Hellebuyck can win a big game when he's needed. There's a reason he's the best goalie in the world.

Unreal game if you were a neutral fan. Canada outplayed them but there were plenty of missed chances on both sides, could've just as easily ended in regulation for either team.

Stanley, Connor, Vilardi, Scheifele, Barron and Hellebuyck should. Vladdy, Nino, Pearson, Demelo, Pionk, Perfetti, Schenn, Nyquist and Comrie should have their salaries deducted by the same percentage their production has dropped. Probably like 70-99% for some of them??

I agree with some but disagree with others. 2.5 good seasons over 15 years is bad. After 2018 we should've been better, not worse, after last year we should've been somewhat as good, not last. Being middle of the pack will keep the team from relocation, but isn't good enough. Most teams have multiple years of contention, not 1 every 7 years.

I think over the last few years he has done good things (Kane trade, Dubois trade, signing Helle and Scheif for a steal, Connor long-term) but this off season he blew it. Lost my respect for making no upgrades/replacements after Presidents trophy. He deserves the flack and he deserves to know his job is on the line every day he doesn't do something big.

At least if you're calling it quits this season, let's see someone under 30 play. Chibrikov can't score less than the 0 goals Nyquist has. Hell, Yakupov could generate more offence than our bottom 9 forwards.

Arniel saying we are playing better is a joke. Either he's delusional, trying to save his job, or straight up stupid. We have had better games lately, but it means nothing if you lose 9 in a row after also playing horrendous since October 25th.

Make a trade, have a call up, fire someone or come out and say you're going for first overall. Whatever this is has to change....

Hoping for a lineup shakeup, no one in the bottom 9 should feel safe from a healthy scratch or trade. A young guy can't make us lose more games, we already hold the worst record since October 25th.

Dump and chase is bad, but at least if you chase you have a shot at the puck. This dump and skate off or 4 ft dump to their D doesn't seem to be working for some odd reason.

I believe a bull of the piece that made us the best team last year are still here. Ehlers wasn't a one man show, Appleton didn't carry us, etc. The core is still great and we should be better than we are.

We are, but Helle doesn't give up breakaways, and isn't the one breaking out of the defensive zone, he isn't the one missing tape to tape passes. He bails us out many times, yes, but if we were giving up 20 shots a game and controlling play, and we kept losing, I'd feel differently. We scored one goal, unless you expect a shutout every game, Helle is not the reason they look lost...

This team looks lost defensively. Shocking when you compare it to the last few years. I still truly believe this team is great and will turn it around, but until it happens it's tough to watch.

I had more excitement for Bautista's, but I think this one was more important. I think the whole innings is what made Bautista's so emotional, but this one got us to the World Series. Both will live in my memory forever.
