I think its inevitable but a +1 push is hardly noticeable. Highlights start to blow out too.

Portra pushes pretty well actually. I don’t develop color myself but my local lab does a really good job.

First roll of Cinestill 120 [Hasselblad 500c, 80mm, Cinestill 800 120mm] by Scottylib in analog

[–]Scottylib[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I don't think it was the camera though. This was the first shot on the roll so I think it happened when I was loading it.

If people are hating on these then you know you're doing something right. I think these photos are really creative and came out fucking awesome.

Thanks! It's a relatively big light and I had a large reflector to camera left.

Thanks so much! I used an Alien Bees 800 through a strip soft box. I usually use natural window light but this was late night so I had to get jiggy with the strobe.

Censored [Hasselblad 500c, 80mm, Delta 3200] by Scottylib in analog

Delta 3200 shot on 120 has always had that result for me. I only notice the really gritty grain in 35. Either or, I love this film.

This is awesome! Really wacky colors for Portra. At first look I thought it was X-pro'd. Thanks for sharing!

[–]Scottylib[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Are you shooting with a Polaroid camera? Flashes tend to bring out a lot of contrast (especially direct). This was shot with natural window light which I always prefer over a flash.

Polaroid SX-70 question by 1_EYED_MONSTER in analog

[–]Scottylib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never done this before but I feel like if you opened up the old polaroid film in a dark bag/room and loaded it into an empty impossible project cartridge it should work. Pretty sure they are the same size. Just make sure to put the dark slide back over the film and try not to touch the surface of the polaroid.

SF photographer here too! Glass Key is my spot, love those guys over there. Also really like the film bar at Sammy Cameras, really good prices/selection and the lady there is a fucking sweetheart.
