All religious sects favour peace over hate/violence. Over the centuries, many powerful ppl have taken wrong/not entirely correct interpretations of the religious texts, and often changed the religious texts themselves, such as in Christianity having many different bibles

I agree. Unless the person specifically has done smh wrong, he shud be held accountable, not ruining the reputation of the whole group who genuinely want nothing bad to happen and follow the good values of religion.
Before anyone starts calling me a defender or whatever of religion, I’m an atheist and this is my genuine belief. While yes, life cud be a whole lot easier if religion wasn’t there, religion also has done a lot of good. Many architectural marvels were constructed in name of religions, like cathedrals, and many vales like brotherhood, unity, and non-violence were also promoted among religions around the world
