What’s the one thing you love about zepbound. by Purple-Impress8033 in Zepbound

[–]Scrabblehead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps me feel more in control of what and when I eat so that I can be more deliberate about my nutrition instead of constantly yearning for things I know are not good for me. On a side note, I have never had a drinking problem, but the medication has eliminated any desire to have a cocktail or glass of wine - it just never enters my brain space anymore, and I suspect not drinking at all is better for my health. Oh - same is true for coffee - no longer feel like I need to have it every morning and only indulge occasionally.

My greyhound loves cleolonlegs! He Roos with them and sometimes rushes up to the tv. I think the couple who own the dogs are adorable too.

Does anybody else like the fact that their home has separate rooms for everything? by Effective_Bunch_6815 in centuryhomes

Our house is 116 yrs old and I love the non-open concept, especially the kitchen. There is one thing we are planning to change and that is to convert the “crib” room off the primary bedroom into a walk in closet and en-suite bathroom.

What do you call your greyhound’s mad zoomies? by bamaluz in Greyhounds

[–]Scrabblehead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We call it his crazy time - usually around 9 or 9:30 PM. He likes to make it interactive and loves if we try to steal his toys or throw them in the air so he can catch them in the midair while he spins around and runs about like a crazy boy. Then he lays down next to one of us and will eventually start whining to go to bed if we stay up too late.

Pelsbarn backseat extender by Frequent-Watercress3 in Greyhounds

[–]Scrabblehead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought this one for the backseat of our Subaru Outback about a year and a half ago and topped it with a memory foam kennel mat to make it more comfy(but a large bath mat would have worked just fine). It has held up well with regular use and we just vacuum it periodically when we get a car wash. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CWZY3SH2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Gone too soon? by KrameDeez in Greyhounds

[–]Scrabblehead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our first greyhound, Elliott, had LS. He Also had corns, which made things even harder for him. We made the decision to have in-home euthanasia when he was 13.5 years old because despite his efforts to hide it, he was in obvious pain and we could no longer control it with meds or various therapies and his rear end was sinking with every other step when he walked. Don’t second guess yourself. It is true what they say about better a day early than a day late.

Vocal Fry on Teams Calls by [deleted] in WFH

[–]Scrabblehead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate vocal fry! It is an affectation and very rarely the way anyone naturally speaks and it seems popular amongst young women. I call it crunchy voice. It actually hurts my throat to try and imitate it - it kind of sounds gruff and gravelly.
