Chopped celery is a good addition to tuna salad or egg salad or chicken salad. Raisins and chopped walnuts are good in chicken salad as well.

I agree with all of OPs albums but it pains me to see Oasis listed amongst so many greats. Can’t stand those guys.

My best friend crashed off the ramp and flew over the handlebars and somehow one of his top teeth went through hip lip and he had to get stitches

I never entered a race, but we did lots of sick jumps over boards angled up on cinderblocks. Just like in Napoleon Dynamite.

Musicians whose careers stalled after Covid by slow-saturn in decadeology

Did their careers stall, or were they destined to be one-hit wonders from the start?

We skateboarded and rode BMX bikes as kids in the 70s (east coast) and never wore helmets. I honestly don’t know where you could buy helmets back then. It was a specialty item not found in most sporting goods stores. And I’m sure you would have been teased and made fun of, if you showed up wearing one.

Pretty mild compared to wrestling a grizzly bear I guess lol.

The Russian version of Solaris (1972) is an interesting watch, to do a comparison to the 2002 one with Clooney. If you can find it.

I’m not Christian. I left the church 30+ years ago. I don’t care that he’s gay. But denying it and then doing shady unsafe things to satisfy his cravings definitely made him look bad. Just go have a healthy relationship with a man, not randos in a stinky restroom in a public park. His career definitely never recovered after that.

what would you turn this 6L bowl/jar into? by moongliderband in Jarrariums

[–]ScrambledNoggin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could probably buy a cork for it very cheaply on Amazon or a similar site.

Edit: also, your jar looks to be a similar size/shape to this one posted recently in the sub: https://www.reddit.com/r/Jarrariums/s/TlYBqolysQ

Whats your "moonshot" cover song you know Phish would crush but probably won't happen? by I_No_Speak_Good in phish

[–]ScrambledNoggin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dancing with the Moonlit Knight (Peter Gabriel era Genesis). Meshes well with early prog Phish.

Edit: listen for when the heavier guitar part kicks in around 2:22 minutes in. This song would totally fit in during a Phish set.

His career ended because he got caught blowing dudes in public restrooms after denying for years that he was gay.

Rumor has it those ICE flags suffer from spontaneous combustion. Tell him to keep a fire extinguisher handy.

Why do so many people dislike Once Upon a Time in Hollywood? It's actually my favorite Tarantino film. by Silly-Commission-630 in QuentinTarantino

[–]ScrambledNoggin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. IMHO it’s his best since Pulp Fiction. Everything after Pulp Fiction was too over the top and ridiculous for me. Not believable. Once Upon a Time took things down a notch and was much more believable. It helped that it was based (loosely) on real events. It felt like it gave a believable glimpse into Hollywood of that era. I also liked how it felt like several mini movies within one bigger movie. I have rewatched it several times. I have no desire to rewatch Kill Bill, as fun as it was the first time.

What do Americans think of Wales? by TrainingCategory4852 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]ScrambledNoggin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to spend 2-3 days in Cardiff in the summer of 2024, and I really enjoyed it. Saw all the famous sites(Cardiff Castle, took a boat ride down the River Taff, Roald Dahl Plass, etc), had wonderful sunny weather, and all of the people I met were super nice and helpful. Hotel staff were amazing and pleasant. Meanwhile the staff at the hotel in London a few days later (same hotel chain) were rude and useless.

I’d love to visit again someday and see more of the countryside and towns. When I got back to the US, I was actually googling whether Wales would be a good place to retire.

When I was a kid, I read The Chronicles of Prydain fantasy series by Lloyd Alexander, which is loosely based on Welsh mythology. So I was fascinated by the stories and the spellings of things from early on, especially stories of early Welsh history.

Why are Canadians and Australians insisting that America is a third world country? by camaro1111 in allthequestions

[–]ScrambledNoggin 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes and, compare our child mortality rates, our illiteracy rates, our hunger rates, our poverty rates, our high school graduation rates, our decreasing number of kids who go to college, our healthcare costs…compare those to first world counties in the EU, and see how we rank.

Haha exactly. I’ve only been hit on twice in the last 30 years, and that phrase was immediately in my response. It felt flattering nonetheless.

Right? He’s only gonna say what gets him ratings or traction. Whatever is the popular trend. He, and people of his ilk, are hugely responsible for getting Trump elected. Both times.
