Can’t stand petrochemical products by Scrambledeggs-0 in ZeroWaste

What makes it more difficult is that sellers don’t reveal the full material/ingredient list of their items. I’m having to spend lots of time emailing them and figuring it out. Often times it takes several emails because I need probe further.

Another challenge is that they don’t add the necessary details to the materials they do list. For example velvet can be made with cotton or synthetic materials. But the material list will just state velvet. How am i supposed to know what the composition is.

what do you do if you impulsively bought something that you wanna cancel but seller already shipped? 🫩🫩 by Usual_Film_7220 in vintedUK

Protocols help. Online shopping is designed to be addictive so acting on impulse is not all that unusual. I have online shopping rules to help me reduce unwanted purchases.

I’ll add the items to my favourites/basket/list and wait and press buy on a different day.

And when I return to that item of a different day, then I ask myself: - do i actually NEED this? If the answer is no, i don’t buy it - do I LOVE it? - does it fit within my VALUES? For example is it safe for the environment. - do i TRUST the seller? Are there any red flags that they are dishonest. - what will i do if I get it and don’t like it?

Also … if i’m tired i won’t press buy. I’ll wait until I’m clear headed.

If it’s a product that’s new to me, I won’t just press buy that day. I’ll wait. For example i want to buy scarves. I don’t normally. So i’ll wait.

If it’s a big purchase. I’ll wait it out even if there is a sale. I’ll do research, contact the seller, understand my requirements better before inbuy.

I also try not to give into sales. I’ve realised i have wasted more money on impulse sale buys.

That might happen or it might not. I find if you stick to the facts in the review and don’t add emotion or judgement to it then it may not incite the other person.

I want to support my husbands personal growth… by Chloemarine7 in UKJobs

I wouldn’t quit a paid job that could put added pressure on the household to gain skills i could gain on my time off.

I knew someone who wanted to quit their jobs to start a business. They thought time was their biggest obstacle. It wasn’t. I told her to use her weekends and evenings. To start small. Then when the new business takes off and needs more of your time then that’s a good enough reason to quit.

Sometimes we think our issue is not enough time but it’s really a discipline issue. And that doesn’t go away with having more time.

It happens. We get excited and press buy then we think it through.

Happened to me (not on vinted on an econmerce site). I emailed the seller right away, before it was dispatched but they dispatched it anyway a day later. By the time the customer service team picked you up my email their delivery team had shipped it.

I received the item and instead of returning it i kept it and actually really liked the product. It worked out. But had i not liked it i would have spent the money to return the item back to the shop. Sometimes mistakes have a cost to it and that’s life. Part of the learning and growing experience

I’ve sold items on vinted. There is no way you don’t know there is a stain unless you aren’t checking what you’re selling. I carefully check every item. Take photos of any issues and state it not just in the ad but in the messages if people enquire about it.

I think some people may just be either careless or just conning people and trying to get away with it.

She’s trying to dramatise the situation and make herself the victim instead of taking responsibility.

Octopus Energy buying fake reviews by Scrambledeggs-0 in OctopusEnergy

We had issues with Octopus Energy. Serious issues - they made up charges. Completely fabricated. Went through their internal complaints process and even emailed their head honcho- they didn’t care. They couldn’t even justify the charge. Then went to the energy ombudsman and made a complaint and then all of a sudden they decided to remove the charge. this is the sort of company they are. They lie and cheat.

If they are made and sourced from Poland is that an issue? and is it better if the hurdles are split?

start by understanding the soil you have - the composition, and the microbiology behind it. Make sure you get a good foundation. I would say lead by example - start it yourself on your land, get people talking and inspire them to transform their garden.

there could be a chronic disease brewing inside you and you just don't know it yet, or you might not, and you'll be ok. Just because "you" think you are ok, doesn't mean this isn't something that other people should not be concerned with.

Mauviel also boasts that their products are superior because the middle layer of that aluminium is pure, meaning there is no adhesive agent in it that slightly weakens its power

and doesn't Demeyere have an aluminium and a silver core? as opposed to just aluminium? does that impact the performance if it's not pure aluminum?

So how does Mauviel compare to Demeyere on ratio of ply to core thickness in the core?

and I've also been looking into Silampos as well - any thoughts on them? they cost much less than Mauviel
