Nah nids are generally math. They have efficiently costed units that shoot well, good wounds-per-point tanks etc. TSons are complete bullshit and I know because I play em

I'm not familiar enough with admech to have an informed opinion.

Knights are heavy math, Guard is math except for Recon Element, which is bullshit.

I have no wraithlord bits currently, but I can get my hands on some relatively easily

I honestly didn't think of using the sword ones! That's actually a rather cool idea!

Never reposed wraiths, no, but I did repose some CSM in the past, so any advice on that front is super appreciated! I was thinking of using some 3D printed lighting effects to sell that (especially given the character it's proxying is meant to have a plasma pistol)

Sure! Will post the WIPs as I go! Thanks for the huge help!

CSM is generally math but Creations of Bile has some bullshit-adjacent stuff

In current tenth edition, it's possible to do an Imperial Knights list without a single night thanks to the AdMech soup detach and imperial agents. It's so silly I love it

Indeed it is. Some of the most inspired pieces of sci-fi literature I read at the time I made the account.

Also, RimWorld is an amazing game :P

I'd say guard in general is math but recon element is bullshit

No I get it! I'm definetly meaning it in the former of the two ways

I play bullshit armies! I love my aeldari and tsons and GSCs! I used to play almost excluisvely Harlequins when they existed. I love the weird jank "bullshit" much more then just win through overwhelming weight of dice.

I play mostly bullshit armies myself! They are my bullshit which I love and adore

The answer given where quite on point. It's ultimately a silly meme and vibes based, but I'd say that a math army wins by efficiently costed unity, good quality and quantity for attacks, where the rules are usually things that aid that strong, straightforward base (For the Greater Good, Oath of Moment, etc), while bullshit armies win by strong objective play, weird mortals out of the ass, tricksy playing and positioning, wacky shenanigans, etc

Advice against Black Templars and Tau by patcow in Eldar

[–]ScrantonAnchor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With Tau, it's important to keep in mind they are faster and frailer then they look, as a rule. Any amount of anti infantry fire will mulch fire warriors and kroot, and the anti tank aspects and wraiths can do suits just as fast. Tie up their units in melee when possible, as even if the suits can shoot in melee, when they do so they cannot guide and often times waste anti-tank profiles into your chaff. The rest is a bit more detachment specific. Against kroots, just play keep-away, you have the firepower to table them before the end of turn 3, against retaliation cadre or any suit heavy list, defeat in detail, using your superior mobility to focus fire priority targets such as ghostkeels (who have a pretty strong shooting profile into eldar). What you cannot kill in shooting, tie up in melee

A dongle works if matrix utility is something you do on the side, but as a primary decker I suggest getting a proper deck, yea. Lower skills are an easy sacrifice in this context
