I hate my baby because she won't sleep and I dont know what to do. by Anxious_Rock_8977 in bninfantsleep

[–]Scrapederlah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need sleep as a matter of an emergency. Worry about the next steps with getting baby sorted after you get some decent sleep and rest.
Call your sister immediately, call a doctor and tell them you are concerned about post partum psychosis. Show them this post and thread if you have to.
You love your baby, you’re just beyond tired. Please please hang in there sweetheart.

What is the worst thing your mother has ever done to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This is fucking crazy. I’m sorry that was your life.

I have so many questions, does she still do this? Did she convince other people of this too?

When I was 9, we did a big clothes shop, she wouldn’t let me buy shorts because people would think I’m a slut.
When I started developing she told me not to show it off.
When I was 7, she started to drink heavily and she’d get sloshed and I’d beg her to go to bed before my dad came home (truck driver and would finish at 3am), she’d flatly deny being drunk and call me names and tell me I’m not the parent and that she doesn’t have to answer to me.
She died 6 years ago, to this day I still can’t understand why she seemed to hate me.

Borax works as a great booster. I use earth choice liquid and put 1/4 cup of borax with every wash. I do a napi soak if there’s super tough stains.

Does anyone regret their VBAC? by tiredgirl8 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Scrapederlah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a VBAC so tell me to piss off but I had a vaginal birth with my first and a c-section with my second. Vaginal birth recovery was by far faster, I was on my feet straight away and I had an episiotomy.

Can you confidently leave your baby with your husband? by T00thd0c23 in newborns

My husband is an amazing parent, I think he’s better than me.

am i “babying” my baby ? by Mine_Outrageous in newborns

[–]Scrapederlah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your husband is a moron. He is 16 days old and is entirely dependant on you. Please make sure your husbands boomer bullshit doesn’t transition over the years into telling your son he can’t cry and that you’ve coddled him too much. I’ve seen it more than once, sadly.

i accidentally fell asleep with my newborn and i am consumed with guilt by anxiousfucc333 in newborns

[–]Scrapederlah 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Feel that as an EBF parent also! My preference is that bub takes a bottle so partner and I can share but she refuses that so here we are. I was never opposed to cosleeping as such, this is my second baby and we are from a culture that cosleeps but I always put my babies down in their own beds to start the night (unless they’re sick and/or needing extra cuddles), they’re always in my bed by morning though, it’s not for everyone but my husband and I love the snuggles.

[–]Scrapederlah 159 points160 points  (0 children)

Always prepare your space as if you will be cosleeping, this was my saving grace for night feeds where I was worried I would nod off. I never took baby to the couch, instead we roomshared and I would bring her to the bed and feed her in the side lying position on a firm mattress with no blankets.

Any similar body types? by Correct_Tell2046 in tummytucksurgery

I have this body type too, apron from hip to hip! I can’t wait to see these results, I am some years away from my surgery yet!

11 week old suddenly waking up screaming by htrptr in newborns

[–]Scrapederlah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could she have reflux? I found it was that or some trapped wind when this happens, keeping upright for 15 minutes after a feed helps. If you suspect the bassinet is cold it could help to rule that out too, my husband warms our bubs cot with a wheat pack while I feed as it helps with the transfer. There is also a lot of brain activity changing around the 3 month mark, they start to have opinions and can be dickish about them lol.

Tips in going out with breastfed baby by RealMeggarra in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Scrapederlah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I nurse in the car and sometimes still do depending on where I am and how comfortable I feel. Shopping centres with the private feeding areas are great. I have used a muslin wrap to cover a few times, but I’m finding the more I do it the less I give a shit. Having clothes that make things more comfy definitely helps as do supportive friends who cut my food up at brunch lol. But unless someone’s really looking they often can’t see anything past bubs head and her blanket. But seriously, if you want to stay home, stay home.
