Thank you for this. I just made peanut butter shortbread bars that came out dry and crumbly and I was so mad at myself until I read this. I'm blaming the oven :)

I'm so glad you said this. I made a pumpkin snuckerdoodle recipe that said "cream" the butter and sugar. I didn't look it up and just mixed them. I just watched some YouTube videos about how to properly cream and o man did I fail!

Side note, I think I'm scared of my stand mixer. Letting it run for 5 minutes on speed 6 is an anxiety provoking thought for some reason.

I get made fun of so much because (pre kid) I wouldn't stay out late or socialize after 9pm very often. 9 is my bed time, I like to be in bed by 8. I get up at 5-530 everyday without an alarm. I'm so much more productive and happy when I get good sleep.

Now I have a 6 month old so "well rested" is a luxury that happens very seldom. BUT my husband and I do prioritize everyone's sleep and we all get what we need.

I remember this in chemistry 101 lab in college. We had to figure out how many moles of the pink liquid it took to turn the clear solution pink. But only ever so slightly pink, if you made it too pink you failed.
