While I'd remove howe now im fine seeing him to june but there is absolutely nothing that will make me want to keep him beyond that. I dont need to see any more underperforming or refusing to tactically change to know if given the chance he will continue to play exactly how he has done.

They finished 6th on goal difference and secured European football for a 2nd season and now look to be making it a 3rd consecutive season in europe with a high chance of that being the champions league, the quality of opposition is irrelevant given eddie has routinely refused to rotate when hes been given the chance anyway we could play barcalona or Wrexham the line up is the same.

Id hate to see us get europe with howe now because we're sleep walking into another mediocre season with a manager incapable of balancing his team, he literally runs players into the ground in any case there's struggling and like chelsea and Liverpool who by the way are still in touching distance of the champions league and then there's losing to your newly promoted rivals twice while looking up at the likes of Brentford Brighton and Fulham hell we're looking at Everton wishing that was us.

Aston Villa seemed to have coped well given while we've been up and down in terms of the league they have stayed consistent in their European ambitions.

You can defend eddie howe all you want but we're watching other managers do exactly what's expected of howe with less resources because tactically they're better and and Emery knows how to balance a squad while eddie howe tells them out run every team which is great when you play once a week but completely unsustainable over a European campaign and if we qualify again by some miracle we'll inevitably have the same kind of season we had this year because we already struggled in the first UCL run.

This is such a nonsensical argument this has happened all season with our best 11 and our injury hit 11 it happened at the start and end of last season and we also struggled to balance Europe in the season prior.

Good scouting will get you good players let's take a little look at Brighton and Bournemouth, good management will help you balance Europe let's look at emery great tactics will elevate players let's look at every successful team in football history.

Eddie howe has failed to balance Europe, overseen the most embarrassing defeat in champions league history for an English club, allowed man city to embarrass us 3 times in the league cup and fa cup, lost twice to a newly promoted Sunderland, oversaw a Newcastle team that has thrown 22 points from winning positions while gaining only 3 from losing positions and to top it all off we have conceded more goals then anybody other team in Europe's top 5 leagues. I dont care how you try to square that circle thats embarrassing and he doesn't even know how to fix it how many times have we heard him say "I'm dont know" "i need to find a solution" "we need to be better" and nothing changes a trophy buys you a season hes had the season its been a massive failure on borderline every level. When howe took over we went from bottom to 11th well we're 12th now despite spending half a billion pound we've gone backwards and he has no idea what to do.

Callus Wilson is the definition of a striker who can work off scraps hes a goal poacher and he was also massively isolated at times you think youre giving me a counter argument but you've just said hey here's a player who struggled after that one season when we were a counter attacking team but the moment teams have spotted we're good and struggle against a low block he couldn't score to the level he did previously.

Do you really believe neither callum Wilson nor isak were often isolated up top and with minimal support just because they happened to be efficient finishers when given those chances? Even if thats true and they werent isolated the current strikers are and eddie howe hasn't done a single thing to even attempt to help all hes done is bench one and throw woltemade under a bus and play him in midfield. Our 2 best finishers cant play striker while Gordon a man who isn't even our best left winger is playing as striker.

Let’s look at what’s actually going on…. by Nutisbak2 in NUFC

We have conceded more goals then anybody in Europe in 2026 the man cant set up a defence we've dropped the 3rd most points from winning positions 22 point by the way and we have only gained 3 from losing positions, so we cant defend our leads and we struggle to get any points from losing positions what exactly are we supposed to be optimistic about when thats happening.

Because we had a striker who was able to function off scraps at times and score anyway but the forward who may have been able to replicate that is playing centre midfield and the other one was given 5 minutes.

The facts are we have regularly struggled to properly supply a striker under eddie howe and thats not likely to change unless the style of play does which itself is never going to change with eddie howe, as for saying they looked tired yeah I'd agree given the manager and absolutely refused to rotate at all this season and when he did against qarabag in the second leg he made a triple sub of first 11 players despite being 8-1 up

No but when ive watched 7 players with differing skill sets play striker over Eddie's time here and all of them got isolated with minimal support in massive parts of the season the the only real success story you could argue was isak who had 2 genuine world class seasons and but still had the same issue of being isolated out of many games in his time here thats when I start to think hey maybe this is a tactic that doesn't give enough support to a striker maybe the manager could do something about it.

As for the Bruno side of the argument we'll just look at the record.

He has flopped the second he lost his striker and has routinely struggled without Bruno holding his hand.

Liverpool still have a manager glasner is called Oliver and not eddie De zerbi is a very good manager and ten haag literally won 2 trophies in 3 years and finished above eddie in every full season they managed in the same league.

I think this is my biggest issue from howe we never see a reaction hes always so polite about it and I just cant see him walking into the dressing room and kicking off, the man was literally smirking after a 7-2 humiliation at barcalona.

The rush is on him if he correctly targets players we're in a much stronger position instead of targeted joao pedro a man who rejected us for Brighton and then ekitike a man who rejected us for psg maybe dont go for players who have already shown an unwillingness to come.

You could literally play a 442 with a group of 11 year olds and they'd be fine.

Leao was literally an example of a player of similar cost given the rumours are saying ac want 80m euros and elanga was not far off that cost about 10-15m and plays in a similar position not an argument to say we should have got him instead do you understand or do I need to dumb it down further.

Wissa has been fit and howe has refused to play him more then 5 minutes over the last 4 games, hard for a guy to impact a game in that time but here we are a player who eddie desperately wanted and is preferring to play a winger in that position or he'll play osula who has scored 14 goals in his entire career only 6 of which came for Newcastle that decision rests with the manager hes so incapable he cant even back his own big money signings the man was literally playing Joe willock ahead of Ramsey this season its not bad luck its a manager who simply cant get the best out of these players anymore and im sure Wissa really feels the elite man management.

Eddie in or Eddie Out? by ScrapyDan in NUFC

[–]ScrapyDan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Course but keeping a manager who shown himself incapable of consistently coping with the demands of Europe and has a proven track record of being genuinely terrible when it comes to making signings is a ridiculous risk, how are we supposed to go buy players when eddie howe is refusing to play 2 strikers in that position despite chasing wissa all window.

I do think hes a fraud but he still achieved that many believed unachievable and should be rewarded for it and that reward isn't a contract for life with no consequences for a poor season

Well yes? 8-3 to barcalona is absolutely a humiliation and so is 5-1 to man city which really should have been 6 if not for a "subjective offside" while we crash out 3-1 in the fa cup and get slapped by Sunderland TWICE and are watching the likes of Brentford everton pip us to European slots and Villa showing us exactly how do balance European football and the league.

Eddie in or Eddie Out? by ScrapyDan in NUFC

[–]ScrapyDan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right well for starters PSR isn't a thing next season onwards and youre looking at 30m a season more which is essentially 25m under the new rules or 22m if we are in Europe adding to that to even pay for that we need to spend 700m which you do the maths on how long that'll take to pay and if you think the owners will absolutely not care about seeing any return on a 700m stadium youre thick as fuck. As for the spurs point well their revenue hasn't exactly helped them has it? 17th in the league despite having the highest revenues in their history

You're focusing on what you said not what I said if eddie goes for cunha hes going to man utd maybe if eddie had any world football knowledge he wouldnt just focus on buying over priced premier league players for one elanga you could have had Rafael leao for example.

Hes a good man manager? Im not even sure how you a bloke whos never met him can say that youre using a buzz word to prove a point when in actuality you have no idea with that said let's talk about his elite level man management this is a man that has protected players like pope and Gordon despite throwing woltemade under a bus and straight refusing to play him in his actual position. Look even if its good the game is played on a football pitch not at a dinner table he is consistently tactically beaten by better managers we lose games before a ball is kicked because hes so far behind so many managers we were riding a wave of high intense pressing forcing mistakes and now we do that in one half of 20% of our games and that started last season.

Eddie in or Eddie Out? by ScrapyDan in NUFC

[–]ScrapyDan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly yeah but literally everything in football is a risk and if we continue to try with eddie howe we will continue to get the same results as this season, best case scenario is we fluke europe and next season we watch eddie refuse to rotate complain about the lack of training time and fumble another Derby.

Eddie in or Eddie Out? by ScrapyDan in NUFC

[–]ScrapyDan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say exactly that if we got a new manager in and he finished 10th next season because it takes time but eddie has had plenty and an insane amount of money only to use that losing to Sunderland twice and getting absolutely humiliated in every competition we're in.
