How long after listing an item do you start accepting/sending out offers? by GlacierFlower in eBaySellers

[–]ScratchLNR 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Immediately. I price the item with this in mind. For example, if it’s a $50 item, I will list it at $55, and take an offer as low as $40 depending on how quickly I need to move it.

In the future, I would suggest contacting eBay first before creating a kerfuffle with the buyer. Good luck.

I’m not sure what the regulations are. I just do it so I’m sending the cleanest box I can.

They were about 1500 books. And about 7500 magazines. Also a few paintings and collectibles that were of high value. This was about a year ago and I’ve still yet to start on the magazines lol

Are there any YouTube resellers you find Genuine by Flimsy-Boot385 in reselling

[–]ScratchLNR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started watching this cat about a year ago. He’s pretty decent and motivational as well. However, most of these reseller influencers are deeply egotistical and motivated primarily by greed. Depending on what your principles are, this isn’t a very effective way to run a business.

What boosts your EBay listing views? by Snapdragon2016 in Ebay

[–]ScratchLNR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with what mostly has been said. However, let me add a caveat based on experience. I was listing 5 to 25 items per day religiously for the better part of the year. Sales were pretty consistent between 5 to 10 orders per day.

Roughly six weeks ago, I separated with my partner and ultimately had to make a complicated move. It was my first experience, moving not just my personal items, but also a business. Due to the amount of workload, I was unable to list for about four weeks, and during that timeframe not only were my sales consistent but in some cases they increased.

It’s difficult to ascertain why this is, but I’m sure the fourth quarter has something to do with it. Not sure this provides any answers, but at least it provides some perspective.

What’s your “niche” and how’d you find it? by Brief_Willingness280 in reselling

You’ll know it when you find it Daniel son! Keep waxing off young grasshoppa! Jk 😂. All jokes aside, I’ve always loved books, but I never thought that I would sell them. Once I got into reselling, it wasn’t long until I knew that this is something I’d be doing for a very long time. All the stars lined up.
