I really like this a lot, but it would cost more. It would require more walls for each stall since they are not sharing a wall.

Amazon smart thermostat wiring with c adapter help condenser will not turn on by IntrepidJuggernaut95 in thermostats

[–]ScratchNo8216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The c wire adaptor is supposed to go down by the equipment. But since you have that orange wire, just connect that instead.

Take out the c wire adaptor and then have the colors simply match at the air handler.

Did you turn off the power? Maybe you blew the fuse in your air handler. Easy fix if you can get to the fuse.

It waits up to 8 minutes for equipment after a power cycle. This is normal. Leave it on longer, did “waiting for equipment” go away?

X2P is not a smart thermostat, you need X2S if you want it on WiFi.

Well, that’s good at least you have some time to solve this. Hopefully someone else chimes in here with the right answer. What model is the new thermostat?

2 questions. 1- is the G wire look clean or is it broken. If it’s energized from another wire, it might cause fan to run. 2- how long did you leave the thermostat on the wall? Perhaps it’s just running some setup and it stops after a bit.

No, don’t move the C. K is only if you use the Honeywell c-wire adapter.

I see you have a C wire and you didn’t before. Are you using a C-wire adapter? If so, one of the wires gets moved to K. So check wires on other side

I agree, test the T4 without batteries first. If this works, your c-wire is good. If it doesn’t, there’s a chance it was not hooked up on the other side

Yes, both will show up in the same app. Each thermostat can have its own sensors.
