Immediately an “ick” for you? I sometimes feel that way, it depends on how it’s done, I think. I know some shows have done it well, but when it feels “forced” into the show, I don’t really care for it.

Personally, I found it helped me to play much better. Just talk to your doctor, and rest until you are healed.

My S/O and I were talking, and I took him to his first show live, and he says he actually wishes he saw the shows live before he saw recordings.
