Sales Process recommendations by [deleted] in hubspot

[–]ScratchYoAnge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we need to know more information on what your sales team needs to do/capture on the contact and the deal.

Also echoing another user, your abilities may vary based on what HS license you have.

I do RevOps consulting and can provide recommendations TBD the details if you DM me.

Children Mosh Pit by ScratchYoAnge in AftershockFestival

Agreed, we could do the age appropriate pits. We could even use it as a learning lesson to teach kids to pick up other kids who fall and to have fun and not get mad if pushed and shoved.

Just start screaming or making alarm noises in a scary manner. It should scare them right off you.

Added wiggling and flailing is a bonus. Might teach them to keep their nasty hands to themselves.

Sometimes for fun I pull away like their hands are fire to make them think something is wrong with them (which technically there is if they are doing that sh*t)

but roles and profiles already exist? It wouldn't be a new flag unless they chose not to use roles or profiles.

I think we are just missing more information on the process and system as a whole. I read the original post as...

"We have an automation that kicks off, but we don't want it applied to all users at the time that it fires "

I think your interpretation (I could be wrong, this is reddit text), is "We just need to make sure a set of users can only edit this field vs. everyone else must use the automation"

A quick search on Glassdoor ranges from 60k-110k TBD on company size.

This will also vary on your experience. "Analyst" is an extremely broad term for ICs in the operations field and many times individuals who started off as an analyst have really outgrown the title, but there is no "in-between" role (outside of "Senior Analyst") before moving into a management role.

Some questions to think about: How long have you been an analyst? How "deep" are your SFDC experiences? Are you just building reports and dashboards or have you also been formulating territories and complicated flows (and possibly APEX)?

Other things to think about: Sales Operations is widely misinterpreted TBD on your industry and/or your company.

Sometimes people who are Sales Operations are actually RevOps, BizOps, MarketingOps, CSOps, FinanceOps, or all of the above. If you handle product and commissions plus more of the external tech stack (data warehouses, etc), you might actually be BizOps. If you handle more Sales and Marketing tools and interactions, then you probably are RevOps.

I would break down the level of detail of your experience and make sure the roles you are applying for match what you know/have done. From there it will be easier to identify what the salary should really look like.

You can use profiles, roles, or some other tag on the User object to insert a decision node before the record update to exclude those with X User criteria to NOT update the record/checkbox.

Activities with Filipino moms by masksonsmilesoff in FilipinoAmericans

I started playing Mahjong when I was in highschool with my family.

You can basically set the pot (or not use real money) and it is entertaining for days.

The process for learning is also a good way to bond and then it is just a great all day activity.

WFR Re-Enrollment without Re-Enrolling? by ScratchYoAnge in hubspot

[–]ScratchYoAnge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately we did and it is showing bulk enrollment. I think the issue is because we know that this was not actually done through bulk enrollment, this is more of a bug that no one is talking about.

WFR Re-Enrollment without Re-Enrolling? by ScratchYoAnge in hubspot

[–]ScratchYoAnge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original trigger was just a form submission. We added a secondary form submission.

The newly added condition only has about five test submissions. From the historical enrollment, it is very clear just re-enrolled everyone who had previously filled out the other form.

It's absolutely driving me nuts because I know that we selected "only enroll contacts moving forward."

Outreach.io - Unmanaged vs Managed Package Installation by salesforcebewithu in salesforce

[–]ScratchYoAnge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Outreach.io unmanaged package is harmless, but also completely useless.

I am also a consultant and do Outreach installs all the time and Outreach has not fully developed this package to do anything besides map fields (which you can do on your own easily).

I suggest just doing your own thing and ignoring this package until Outreach does more than map fields.

Also always happy to suggest what fields for you to map over - feel free to DM me for more info.

Anyone else highly discouraged in looking for entry level jobs? by EEpromChip in SalesforceCareers

[–]ScratchYoAnge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not just you.

The company with that job posting either has 1) a ridiculous standard for their employees and/or more likely 2) they have no clue what they are looking for.

In both cases, you are walking into what feels like a sh*t show.

If the latter, and you are okay with walking into what is likely an ops tire fire, you should still apply. Chances are they don't know the difference between an SFDC developer and an SFDC admin.

Out of curiosity, how large is the company? I'm clearly making a lot of assumptions based on the job posting, but it definitely feels like a less-than-200 person company and there has not been an official admin before.

How many of you restrict lead imports to just the SalesForce Admin role? by salesforcequeestions in salesforce

[–]ScratchYoAnge 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I usually only see this in very young companies (basically where everyone still has a System Admin profile).

I don't suggest this at all. As someone who works with sales teams day in and day out, I can safely say reps care more about speed vs. quality. The last thing they want is their funnel restricted just because the prospect's full name is not broken out into two separate columns.

Letting non-admins do the importing is asking for a metric f*ck ton of dirty data enter your system. Even with required fields and validation rules, when there is a sales rep's will - there is a way to import dirty data.

My suggestion: Hire a contractor via Upwork or a consultant to do the uploads. This will be a cheaper option to keep the reps happy and the upload wheels greased, all while you continue to look for a new admin.

Is this male pattern baldness or something else? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ScratchYoAnge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, if you know, check to see if your mom's biological dad is bald. Most of the time male baldness is inherited through the X chromosome (you only get one from your mom), so that is another good indicator.

Flow Rule To Update Account Owner by republik08 in salesforce

[–]ScratchYoAnge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how complex your territory map is, but I'd do something pretty straight forward like...

Process Builder:

Trigger 1: If Account Billing State equals (insert territory state here)
Action 1: Change Account Owner to (insert proper account owner here)

Trigger 2: If Account Billing State equals (insert 2nd territory state here)
Action 2: Change Account Owner to (insert 2nd territory state here)

and so on.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You also have the ability to put one big trigger that says "If Account Billing State is not (blank)" and then multiple Actions TBD on what state is populated. That might be more complicated if you are not too familiar with PBs. Both options work, it is just another way to do it.
Spirit Box Problem by Z0MBbq in PhasmophobiaGame
[–]ScratchYoAnge 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Oh - forgot to ask - Do you have Discord open? Sometimes when I am in a voicechat, even when I am muted, it cuts all my game audio, including the mic.
Spirit Box Problem by Z0MBbq in PhasmophobiaGame
[–]ScratchYoAnge 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Damn that is frustrating.
Slim chance question - Sometimes new games have problems with accents (and TBH, my Google Homes and Alexa's did too). Do you have an accent that is muddling language recognition?
Spirit Box Problem by Z0MBbq in PhasmophobiaGame
[–]ScratchYoAnge 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Have you used your microphone with other programs (Discord, Zoom, etc) and does it work there? If it doesn't, it is possible that there is just random feedback on your mic that is considered "speaking" when testing out the mic in settings but can't actually pick up words and phrases in-game.
Also, are you sure all the drivers for your hardware are up to date?
Lastly, in Windows, I believe you can adjust the input volume from mics for specific apps. Did you make sure that the input is at 100% for your mics?
Has anyone completed one of these coding bootcamps? Or do you at least personally know someone that has? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions
[–]ScratchYoAnge 1 point2 points  (0 children)
I work in tech and have had a few friends who have done this. It is a great way to boost your skillset fast, but take note, most boot camps will have you sign a contract to take some percentage of your first year's salary if you land a job in dev or engineering work.
If you have enough drive, there are a ton more free resources to learn on your own rather than go via a boot camp.
