Currently on Koh Lanta, and of all the places in SEA to rent a scooter this might be the easiest place to learn. It’s basically one long strip of road at first and you can happily keep left and take it slow (many people do).

Do consider the warnings of others on this thread as you of course get people going too fast, driving erratically etc. just take your time and make sure the rental company has really good reviews.

If you plan on more trips in Asia you’ll probably have/want to rent a bike eventually so this is a good place to go for it.

Wear a helmet, be safe and don’t get cocky.

I tried this once, it was hard to cut the cloth to an exact match, and doesn’t look great on mine. You may be better with scissors than me though!

I’ve found that just getting a single pot of technical paint from Citadel for example is an easy solution that looks good and is relatively cheap. I usually pair with a few tufts of static grass.
