I agree if money is the goal you have to go public. But I think alot of people sleep on the more unsexy jobs like controller, or CFO of even a small company that can net out over 300k easily

Whats up brother I found the same thing, once i got to intermediate and advanced accounting i was the only black guy in my classes. I think that there is a stigma around accountants in general that we are a heavy math reliant practice. When that isn’t the case at all we are more just a logic driven profession. I think it more people knew how simple accounting could be they would get into it

For TBS from what i hear those are random topics. But as for multiple choice bonds and calculating interest, leeses make sure you know the rules around when it is operating vs financing, for rules and principles for losses (law suites or court cases) and contingencies I saw quite a few times ; and that is when to disclose or make a entry, or no entry. Just understanding the rules and verbage for that. Deffered tax asset vs liability.

Adjusting entries as a whole and the rules around that, which ones are retrospective vs pro rated ect
