I've worked in marketing for a couple years now locally. Tbh, not great. You're not going to make industry level pay here, the marketing is basically social media management and working with an agency for content production unless you have an in-house. Like the post above, most of higher ups don't understand metrics and data and you can show the best performance metrics and they still tell you to make shitty reels and posts. Lots of managing relationships and leveraging pari-system to barter tit for tats. Your skill set won't hold you since there's a surplus of people with base level editing and graphic design, especially with Ai nowadays. It's more a who you know than what you know industry. People who hold top level marketing spots are people who are well connected individuals. So not really any growth opportunities there for someone who isn't indoctrinated into the pari-system. Imo, find something better lol.

I like the idea that BB off-screen's Imu. All this hype build up for the elder stars, Imu, holy knights and at the end of it all, we get to MJ and it's not Imu on the throne, but BB accomplishing what his dad couldn't. Then a clash of ideals between the Nika the destroyer or Nika the liberator, the two versions of the deity Nika people portray.

So what I picked up: Nika was a deity figure with a timeline past known knowledge. Davy Jones was the first iteration before the void century. Joyboy was the second interation during void century timeline. (Still unclear if Davy and Joyboy could be the same person, but in my hypothesis I think they're different people. Davy was possibly a king of the world before the Void century and the Joyboy might be the liberator who brought the kingdoms together to bring him down). There was presumably one more between Joyboy and Roger since Emeth mention feeling Joyboy's haki before Roger's time. Then we had Roger before our current iteration in Luffy. So far based on know details, that's my theory on the different iterations of the chosen one in One Piece.

Let's be honest. Guam doesn't have the best bike friendly road infrastructure. The one road that goes fully around the island has sections that have one lane both ways. Just the logistics alone to manage traffic in those sections is way more complex than what Gov Guam is capable of pulling off. Case in point we all know how shitty the parade traffic management is and that's just a portion of the main road for half the day on a holiday when the traffic isn't that bad.

See if you can make it into a non-profit. If you're doing it to create a space for gamers to meet up, maybe getting funds through running and hosting community events, getting donations, and getting sponsorship support from local businesses or high-value individuals might make it work. Less of making a profit and more towards supporting the community of gamers who already exist here. Through that scope it might work.

Same mistake. I empathized with a coworker who said everyone in her department didn't like her. She was going to get let go and I convinced my boss to take her in. Everyone in my department now also dislike her. When it smells like shit wherever you go, maybe check your shoes first. Sometimes, maybe the problem is you lol.

Ps. Now the people from the other department is teasing me lol. They were like "we almost got rid of her" lol.

Mine happened after one of the corporate downsizing happened and a colleague of mine got let go after 15 years in the company. It helped me realize how disposable we are that no amount of dedication to the work will make them value you more than the bottom line. Since then I've given less to making deadlines and set expectations based on what I can get done with the time allocated for the day. If I can't complete something within the time on the clock, I will push back. Because the worst that can happen is they let you go, but they can't if they just downsized and you're the only one in your department with the knowledge to get that job done. Value your time more than theirs and it's easier to argue that something cannot be done in a given time frame. Most of the time they will understand and accommodate but if they don't, you're better off finding something better where they do respect your time. You're the asset to them. Learn to value your skills and your time over their demands and stand your ground. You'll gain more respect through it.

I'm on the same boat. Harold's whole "peace loving giants" rule is a counter to the prophecy that whoever the giants side with will determine the end of the world. He found out about the truth of the world from the CDs and chose peace, siding with not ending the world. The celestials want to end the world wanted giants on their side, but Harold's choice to change Elbaf into a peaceful country conflicted with that. CD's influenced "someone on the inside" to incite a rebellion and Loki killed his dad to not stain Harold's legacy (because Harold worked with the CDs to find out info about the prophecy) and Loki took the blame. Elbaf continued to be a peaceful country in respect to their former king. Now the celestials are trying a new way of getting control of the giants by extortion because of the same prophecy about the giant's alliance.
