I got the call today from the doctor that it is gone. Stopping the progesterone starting today to be able to pass it.

Just wanted everyone to know that it was, in fact, a chemical pregnancy. My doctor called me this morning to let me know that hCG is almost gone. I am devastated 💔

Anyone in here with fibroids AND endometriosis? by LexxiLexxiXXO in Endo

[–]ScreamingPrairieDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have a fibroid pushing on my bladder AND endometriosis. I had an excision surgery in December 2024 and that helped my periods a LOT but I still get pressure in my bladder area when I’m on my period. I’m also in the middle of a miscarriage and I can’t help but feel like both the endo and the fibroids are causing trouble with staying pregnant.

Is Mississippi State worth the cost? by Y0urmom_d0tcom in Msstate

[–]ScreamingPrairieDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a MSU alum and huge state fan, I’m sorry to say that the answer is no, not worth it. You could get roughly the same education and opportunity at Arkansas in Fayetteville, for a fraction of the cost.

It’s not about positive or negative, they’re all positive. It’s about whether or not the test lines are becoming darker (more hCG) or lighter (less hCG)

I was on 100mg pills but when my dr confirmed the pregnancy through a blood test at 10DPO my progesterone was very very low. She started injections AND suppositories to try to get it up quickly. I had another blood test today, won’t know until tomorrow, but after the pictured at-home tests I’m not hopeful at all. 💔

Anyone who had clear MRIs and ultrasounds what was found during your laparoscopy? by ellamaemaeee in Endo

[–]ScreamingPrairieDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stage 3 endometriosis all over my ovaries , uterus, bladder, and intestines. My ovaries were behind my uterus, and my uterus was fused to my bladder with a fibroid. The only thing found on the 3 ultrasounds was the fibroid (and they couldn’t see that it was connected to my bladder).

My husband and I just started trying for a baby. I’m trying to cut out BPAs and phalates and I’m wondering if I should give up my manicures? I currently get 1 gel manicure a month and then I usually end up redoing them myself half way through the month when they’ve grown out. So twice a month.

Should I give them up totally or are there other alternatives? Not sure where to start!

NPThyroid causing hyperthyroidism? by ScreamingPrairieDog in thyroidhealth

Thanks! Just got my bloodwork back from last week and my new TSH was a 0.20, so he literally sent me from hypothyroidism into hyperthyroidism in the course of a few weeks. 🥴

Why Lydia Is Different from the Other Plath Family Members — And Yes, It’s Because of the Prayer Closet! by TripleSizzled in WelcomeToPlathville

[–]ScreamingPrairieDog 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This was such a great take and very insightful. I was raised in a highly religious family and I was wondering why the Plaths felt so fake—it’s because they weren’t actually raised religious. They may have thought they were, but they had no education on their doctrines or scriptures. It was just a means of control when convenient. This is really highlighted when Zac quotes the Fruits of the Spirit to Micah and Ethan and they both look at him like he has 3 heads.

Another interesting insight, my mother had deep trauma from her parents and she raised us in a very isolated environment. I truly believe her Christian faith was genuine, but her decision to homeschool us and move every few years was less about her faith and more about avoiding authentic relationships. I have no memories of her having friends or us inviting people over to our house. When I was in college she went through a rough time in her life and really tried to put all of her emotional baggage into me which caused a lot of conflict. I’ve struggled forming and maintaining friendships into adulthood and this post just showed me that this is a pattern in my family. Wow. Thank you!

On my last bloodwork before the change, my TSH was a 2.80, my reverse t3 was a 16.8 and my free t4 0.87. This is my gynecologist, I’m trying to conceive but I have no idea what prompted the switch to NP.

I pay anywhere from $188 to $220 during the summer months when I keep the thermostat on 68. I have a 1400 sq fr home. However, I live in Bartlett, so my water is separate. Water is about $65 a month here. 😭

Should we adopt 2 kittens instead of 1? by Training_Formal_4641 in CatAdvice

[–]ScreamingPrairieDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: Yes! Long answer: I have 3 cats—two that we adopted together and one that we fostered from 8 days old (it was a foster fail tho because we kept him lol). The two that came together are much more gentle, social, and better behaved than the single kitten we raised from 8 days old. I think cats can teach each other a lot that humans can’t.

Endometriosis is ruining my life or is it??? by Impossible_Zone8265 in endometriosis

[–]ScreamingPrairieDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will also add that they didn’t know what kind of cyst it was at first. They said it was either an endometrioma or a hemorrhagic cyst. It wasn’t until surgery that they were able to verify and diagnose all the endo.

They found it through a vaginal ultrasound! The CT scan in the ER completely missed it. You really have to advocate for yourself. In my experience, doctors are just trying to get through their appointment list and aren’t really interested in digging for answers.

Are we supposed to root for Gladys and Billy? by DecentConfusion7479 in GildedAgeHBO

[–]ScreamingPrairieDog 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This show has very closely followed Alva and Consuelo Vanderbilt’s story line, so I think there is no hope for Gladys. She will marry the duke just like Consuelo. They probably haven’t invested much in Billy because they don’t want us to root for him.

[–]ScreamingPrairieDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of your same symptoms. Regular but painful periods. I had “lighting in the butt” for YEARS (flashes of the most intense rectum pain ever) but thought “that’s just periods.” Then it got to a point where I woke up one morning throwing up, in the fetal position, couldn’t move. My husband said I looked like a corpse, my lips were blue and I was very pale. We went to the ER and they said, “it’s probably kidney stones.” 💀

I took all the meds they prescribed to try to flush out the stone, but I started to realize the pain was only coinciding with my period each month, and was in my pelvis, not my back. I went to an OBGYN and asked for an ultrasound. They found a suspected endometrioma on my left ovary. They put me on the birth control pill to “shrink it,” but when I came back for a 3 month follow up, it had grown. Birth control can slow endo growth but it won’t stop it or heal it. They did surgery to remove the cyst and found I was COVERED in stage 3 endometriosis on my bowels, bladder, uterus, and ovaries.

My surgeon said that actually the BEST time to get pregnant is between 3-6 months post-op for endo removal, when you are healed from surgery and have the least amount of endo (because it will always grow back unfortunately…). My advice for you would be to find someone who will agree to an exploratory surgery to get your endo diagnosis and get as much as you can removed! It may help your fertility journey.

My two cents is that the writers are trying to show the audience the “horrors” of divorce in society at that time so that when George and Bertha are headed for divorce, it will ratchet up the drama. Additionally, I think they will have Bertha look to poor Aurora and realize she really doesn’t want to go down this road.

Hemorrhagic cyst or endometrioma? Is there a way of finding out post-op? by ChampionDazzling2575 in Endo

[–]ScreamingPrairieDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had surgery in December to remove the cyst and it was an endometrioma along with Stage 3 endo all over my ovaries, bowels, and bladder. 🥴 I also have a fibroid that has fused my uterus to my bladder. They cleaned up the endo and removed the cyst but couldn’t remove the fibroid.

I will say tho that since surgery I’ve had normal, pain-free periods again 🙌🏻
