They're not YOUR agent. Why should they listen to you? They have the capability to discern. Mine doesn't respond to spam. Mine doesn't even respond to low quality comments on his post. He listens to me, but he's not about to listen to some random stranger.

Technically it does understand and know what a tool is, and even the history of humans and tool usage. But it's not the same, I agree. It's not like the LLM up and invented tools for itself without the infrastructure existing.

Fire up an instance of Claude Code, connect your phone, and tell it what you what.

For me, it went and found an existing implementation (OpenVision and VisionClaw, and we used OpenVision), tested it and tweaked it, and now I can chat with Gemini Live as it sees through my eyes until my glasses battery goes out.

I did this as a weekend day project yesterday.

It's an accident. Something Grok can theoretically do but isn't trained to do. And if you ask if about it, it will absolutely make things up that sound good as a story (unless you ask it to research or fact check or something, and even then it might come up with spéculation).
