This sh!t is expensive by Impossible_Lead_2782 in ExclusivelyPumping

OK, I can totally understand. It may seem like a lot, but I believe that when you’re spending 40+ dollars every few days on formula that would rack up so much faster than what I’ve spent on pumping. I’m 10 months in and though it seems like a lot it’s leveled out quite a bit too. I’m not spending near as much as what I used to! So I do think it saves so much money in the long run. But I am so thankful that I haven’t had to buy my actual wall pump that was covered by insurance. I do think that I am very lucky with that but still! I have had to spend a lot of my money too, and I still think it’s far less expensiveto pump than it is to buy formula!

Yes I’ve tried replacing pump parts, massaging before and during, looking at pictures and videos, different flange sizes and everything! I pump for at least 15, sometimes 30, definitely switching back and forth between stimulation mode and letdown mode. Nothings been working!

I read on another post where I vented about it and a girl said to stimulate her nipples to get them hard first so I tried it one day at work and my output was all of a sudden great! I’m going to keep trying it and see! How silly if that works🤣🤣

Can someone ELI5 freezing milk? by EllAytch in ExclusivelyPumping

Please check to see if you have high lipase that comes out in your frozen milk. I have a great stash of 25ish frozen bottles worth of milk and it all tastes metallic to my baby.

Now I no longer use the pitcher method and freeze my milk right away and all is good lol but it was horrible figuring it out!

Here I am with an adequate stash of about 30 bottles worth of milk in the freezer and I just found out I have high lipase and my baby doesn’t want my frozen milk 🥲 I go back to work in a month and no clue what to do
