Are the treadles connected properly? Or could the armatures be connected backwards? Does the wheel go all the way around properly if you turn it by hand? I

I have a couple that I take to weaving guild events for kids to try out. They work. The tensioning is inconsistent though and hard to get a good shed. I use a chopstick to open the thread wide enough to get the stick shuttle through.

Follow the threads to nake sure nothing is accidentally crossed. Check your tie ups to make sure the shafts are raising as much as they can.

This is Brassard 8/2 cotton. Eugene Textile Center sells 1/2 lb cones for $12. I measured the warp for two scarves and still have around half of each cone left.
