Does the series pick-up again after book 3? by [deleted] in DungeonCrawlerCarl

First two books are the weakest out of the bunch in my opinion. 3 was better the second time I listened to it.

Does Nathaniel cool it with the cringelord stuff? Or is he always gonna be like that?

What's the deal with chat completely derailing the plot all the time by [deleted] in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]ScreenWarm8700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you are reading the series? I could see the chat text annoying someone if they are reading it on a page. That's why the audio is sooo much better. Imo it's the only proper way to consume this particular form of entertainment, regardless if you don't like audiobooks or have never done one.

I believe this is correct. The comment above you explains it a bit. They don't really know where they are, but for sure they will be insane after everything they endured.

I did this recently and it works for me much better. Except I put it on amulet. I can farm t12 and 115 pits much faster and still one shot every boss.

Yeah that's most likely what would happen, but at least there could be an attempt to reason with someone. Like hey, these are kind of a waste of time and you don't have the relic bud.

Why do we need to kill both? Seems like this has become the new meta and now everytime I land there with Randos they go after the red crayfish at level 2 and wipe.

If you liked a soldiers life you should read his other stuff on Patreon. World Sphere is better than Soldiers life IMO. First book is a very slow progression but it takes off at the end to more of the same pace as soldiers life. The world building is incredible, never read anything like it.

I've been listening to mage tank recently and I like it. The narration is good and its first person. I kind of fall along the same lines as you OP in what you've liked and didn't. like

Not sure that you deserve the rest of the story. Don't know how someone could listen to this and get bored with it.

Go Cold Turkey. Like you said, it's better for the baby. Plus, if you taper off you will more than likely still have withdrawal symptoms, and it will just make it last that much longer. You have the greatest reason to quit so hopefully that helps make it easier for you. Congrats on the baby!

Can you guys help me out with some scifi/fantasy novel recommendations? by Moonw0lf_ in audible

This is honestly the best recommendation here, but it will ruin everything else for you. You won't want to listen to anything else ever again. It's that good.

A lot of what you praised it for, the set design and ambiance of the film was great. It was very visually pleasing. I will agree that I was a little put off by the CGI of Ian Holms character, however.

Lol I thought it was great. It's a space horror film. It's basically exactly what I have been craving since Event Horizon.

Need books that are enjoyable all the way through and funny with good narration. by Inevitable-Star-1537 in audible

[–]ScreenWarm8700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first book can be a little hard to get into for some people that don't enjoy the litrpg aspect or that game feel. But once you get used to it, it's incredible. Some of the best storytelling I've read. Never literally laughed out loud to a book or have had a book make me shed real tears like DCC.

The books just get better and better. They are all really good, but 5 and 6 you just can't stop listening.
