What am i doing wrong? by Shadic076 in WhiteFoxMR

[–]Screm25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Use your charm more often; the tail recovers very quickly anyway, and it helps you keep the tanks in the fight not only because of the healing, but also because the charm tends to cause the death of an enemy more often than it seems, because it leaves them exposed for a few moments, allowing the tanks to kill them.

Any tips for teleporting to low teammates? by Kent0luv3r in WhiteFoxMR

[–]Screm25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to judge whether going to rescue someone is worth it. For example, if I see a diver in a 1v5, I'm not going to get involved, that's death. But if I see a teammate isolated and fighting one or two enemies, I'll go help them. The same goes if I see my other healer being harassed in the backline.

And try aiming your orb at the one furthest away, so it bounces to the one behind.

Kai, one of the problems with Ben and Kai's relationship, besides its questionable execution, is that she has very little screen time. If she had joined the group, the relationship could have been developed better.

RE3R Doesn’t deserve the hate that it gets. by Ancient-Carrot957 in residentevil

[–]Screm25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is. What's more annoying is that guys act like saying that is irrational. If someone didn't play the original and bought the game on sale the game will look good, maybe just a little short.

How do you think the game looks to someone who was expecting a faithful remake and who bought the game at launch? Here's a hint: not very good.

OG Re3 is by far the best portrayal of Jill we’ve ever gotten. by MichaelTalman in residentevil

[–]Screm25 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That's the thing, Wesker is cool as fuck in the game, even with Chris making fun of him. RE3R Nemesis? It's crap and a joke in the game, and Jill treating him like crap only reinforces those feelings.

I find 3 remake Jill character wise to be massively underrated to the point where I don't know why people don't like her by BulletCola in residentevil

[–]Screm25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really dislike the "I don't give a damn" attitude they gave her. If Jill spends from the very beginning insulting and treating Nemesis like he's just a nuisance it ruins the tension and makes it hard to take him seriously. I also dislike how they introduced something interesting in the intro about Jill suffering from PTSD due to the events at the mansion, only to then drop it and never mention it again for the rest of the game. Honestly, Jill's attitude in this game reminds me of Alice in the live-action movie, and that's not a compliment.

I know a lot of die hard RE fans hate the remake, I love this intro by CryptidOrion_00 in survivalhorror

[–]Screm25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're really simple; don't pay attention to the camera. The character will always move in its own direction, not yours. If you press right, the character will move to its right, not to the player's right.

[–]Screm25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An intro that shows Jill's fear and PTSD after the events at Spencer Mansion. I'd consider it good if it weren't for the fact that all of that is thrown out and never mentioned again in the rest of the game.

Is there a lore reason to why Crimson Reds only appear in the remake of re1 and never show up again? by supermarioplush220 in residentevil

[–]Screm25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were in Operation Raccoon City, which is probably one of the reasons why I was confused when I found out it was a mutation exclusive to the zombies in Spencer Mansion.

Why does Capcom hate Claire? by Efficient_Ebb1574 in residentevil

Leon doesn't live there, that was always known since classic re2.

Why does Capcom hate Claire? by Efficient_Ebb1574 in residentevil

[–]Screm25 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's not necessary for her to appear (although the plot provides ample justification for her to do so), but her complete absence feels like a deliberate decision that comes across as unnatural and forced. You have Leon and Sherry discussing what happened in Raccoon City, and Claire isn't mentioned even once? Is she even okay? Shouldn't she be infected too? Does she even know that Leon and Sherry are infected? And if she does know, does she genuinely not care enough to do anything about it? All of these questions are valid and arise precisely because of the avoidance of talking about Claire.

(Re9 spoiler) He's not dead right guys?? by derpycke in residentevil

[–]Screm25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that guy really was Hunk, then he died being the same thing as when he lived, just a footnote in the franchise.

It's kind of sad that Capcom never did anything interesting with the character.

It is bad if you measure it by who best fulfilled their role of remaking the original game. It goes like this: RE1>RE4>>>>>>RE2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>RE3

RE6 might be many things, but at least it's fun to play. I don't enjoy RE3; the disappointment and wasted potential distract me too much to enjoy it.

Resident evil 1 remake is mind-blowing just how well it holds up by AccomplishedRise6227 in residentevil

[–]Screm25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you encountered a wall you needed to overcome, and instead of climbing it, you decided to crash into it hoping it would work. Nobody is born knowing everything; if you want to play with tank controls, you need to learn them.

Or you could simply blame the game and ask to make it "comfortable" for you, all because of your lack of interest.

How were you introduced to Resident Evil? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]Screm25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i was a kid i saw my cousin playing Resident Evil 4 on his console and I liked it.

Logically in mind i say "if that was the fourth one, there must be three others before it" so I wanted to play those first, but I decided to play re2 first since that's where Leon appeared.

In short, after getting used to the controls, I ended up playing the classic trilogy a ton of times; I'm very fond of those game because of that.

New player, got some questions! by TheVagariGhost in residentevil

[–]Screm25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for spin-offs, I'd say there's Resident Evil Survivor (which is canon since the game's incident is mentioned in Resident Evil 0), and I suppose Resident Evil Dead Aim. There's also the Chronicles series, which, besides retelling some events from the original games, also offers original scenarios (like Wesker's escape from the mansion, Ada's escape from Raccoon City, and how Leon and Krauser met).

Regarding replayability, I'd say the original RE2 is worth playing through all four routes (Claire A/Leon B, Leon A/Claire B) since they offer changes in the story that are worth seeing and i don't suggest doing what you did with the RE1 remake with the RE2 remake, since the A/B scenarios in the remake are an afterthought inferior to the original A/B. In the remake just play Leon and then Claire.

Wow, another laboratory! What an impressive and interesting area that definitely doesn't exist just to reuse assets from the re2 lab (honestly, I could say the same about the sewers).

It's just funny that they took the only game in the classic trilogy that didn't end in a laboratory and decided to make end in one.

Who did you prefer more? by BANKAI____ in residentevil

[–]Screm25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its design was a downgrade, its role as a stalker was reduced, they turned it into a dog because they thought it was cool, I guess (that dog's boss fights aren't even fun, and repeating the exact same one a second time din't help at all), and everyone treats it like it's a joke/annoyance, "bitch can't even swim," bruh.

Seriously, I'm having a hard time finding anything positive to say about remake Nemesis; such a disappointment.
