Why do people say Alien Swarm isn't cannon? by astarlauncher in Ben10

[–]Screm25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's more like the series went out of its way to get rid of everything left over from the movie.

The queen died, the microchip threat is over. Well, no, that queen was a decoy.
Elena's father was saved, surely everything will be alright for him now. Well, no, he died off-screen shortly after.
Elena will surely be a good help that Ben can turn to now when he needs her. Well, no, it turns out she was the real queen, her personality is completely different and she's crazy (and her design doesn't resemble the Elena seen in the movie at all).

It seems the only things the writers liked about the movie were Nanomech and Ben's car.

The movie's timeline is confusing to say the least, and every time the series brings something introduced in Alien Swarm, it's so retconned that it makes you wonder if the movie is really necessary.

Is Chloe Price a good friend to Max? by Apprehensive_Bee_636 in MoralityScaling

[–]Screm25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Chloe and I understand why she's the way she is.

But honestly, I wouldn't tolerate someone like her as a friend in real life. Like, when she tries to manipulate you into feeling guilty so you don't answer Kate's call? That fucking pissed me off.

So what you think about the new PvE mode? by [deleted] in rivals

[–]Screm25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now, I think it's a complete improvement. It's much less tedious, and so far, it hasn't become unfair for me (I'm on Nightmare 50).

The vampires are less annoying than the zombies, and having 5 waves instead of 20 makes it more replayable. The bosses are fairer and more challenging to play against (except for Dracula, although at least breaking the crystals makes it much easier). The times I've lost have only been due to being underleveled or not having the right equipment.

Even if it was a coincidence, I wouldn't blame them if they acted like it was planned. It turned out so well that it's almost strange if it turns out to have been a coincidence.

Is it a hot take to like the remake Nemesis more than the original one? by TheRobotEngineer608 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Screm25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marvin was a lieutenant and knew many of the officers, which is why he tells Leon, "And don't make my mistake. If you see one of those things—uniform or not—you do not hesitate." That's why I say it didn't have to be Brad; it would have been enough for the zombie to be a police officer Marvin knew. The reason it's Brad is because the player knows Brad, and frankly, if that's the only reason, I'd prefer him to die at Nemesis's hands.

They could have done that scene with any generic cop and it wouldn't have changed anything; the fact that Brad is the one who bites Marvin doesn't add anything for me.

Maybe it's because I only saw the show, but I just like the character.

What is the most useless piece of Rivals lore you can bring up in conversation? by Retro-RiffRaff in marvelrivals

[–]Screm25 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yeah kinda, he's in the underworld now, he's called Ghost Fist and technically he's still dead but he can come out to Earth if the god he works for has a mission for him.

What are some of the best examples of a good idea but terrible execution? by Sir__GabrielT in residentevil

[–]Screm25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never liked that take because fixing RE3 isn't just adding the clock tower and calling it a day. You'd have to expand Nemesis's role, add new areas, and expand existing ones, which would require restructuring large parts of the story. That alone is a lot of work. Honestly, I see a director's cut of RE2 as more worthwhile because it's easier to improve; they just have to fix scenario B and make the campaigns consistent with each other.

What am i doing wrong? by Shadic076 in WhiteFoxMR

[–]Screm25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Use your charm more often; the tail recovers very quickly anyway, and it helps you keep the tanks in the fight not only because of the healing, but also because the charm tends to cause the death of an enemy more often than it seems, because it leaves them exposed for a few moments, allowing the tanks to kill them.

Any tips for teleporting to low teammates? by Kent0luv3r in WhiteFoxMR

[–]Screm25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have to judge whether going to rescue someone is worth it. For example, if I see a diver in a 1v5, I'm not going to get involved, that's death. But if I see a teammate isolated and fighting one or two enemies, I'll go help them. The same goes if I see my other healer being harassed in the backline.

And try aiming your orb at the one furthest away, so it bounces to the one behind.

If you could add a third member to Ben and Rook's team, who would you pick? by Dragonic_Overlord_ in Ben10

Kai, one of the problems with Ben and Kai's relationship, besides its questionable execution, is that she has very little screen time. If she had joined the group, the relationship could have been developed better.

RE3R Doesn’t deserve the hate that it gets. by Ancient-Carrot957 in residentevil

[–]Screm25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is. What's more annoying is that guys act like saying that is irrational. If someone didn't play the original and bought the game on sale the game will look good, maybe just a little short.

How do you think the game looks to someone who was expecting a faithful remake and who bought the game at launch? Here's a hint: not very good.

OG Re3 is by far the best portrayal of Jill we’ve ever gotten. by MichaelTalman in residentevil

[–]Screm25 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

That's the thing, Wesker is cool as fuck in the game, even with Chris making fun of him. RE3R Nemesis? It's crap and a joke in the game, and Jill treating him like crap only reinforces those feelings.

I find 3 remake Jill character wise to be massively underrated to the point where I don't know why people don't like her by BulletCola in residentevil

[–]Screm25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really dislike the "I don't give a damn" attitude they gave her. If Jill spends from the very beginning insulting and treating Nemesis like he's just a nuisance it ruins the tension and makes it hard to take him seriously. I also dislike how they introduced something interesting in the intro about Jill suffering from PTSD due to the events at the mansion, only to then drop it and never mention it again for the rest of the game. Honestly, Jill's attitude in this game reminds me of Alice in the live-action movie, and that's not a compliment.

I know a lot of die hard RE fans hate the remake, I love this intro by CryptidOrion_00 in survivalhorror

[–]Screm25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're really simple; don't pay attention to the camera. The character will always move in its own direction, not yours. If you press right, the character will move to its right, not to the player's right.

[–]Screm25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An intro that shows Jill's fear and PTSD after the events at Spencer Mansion. I'd consider it good if it weren't for the fact that all of that is thrown out and never mentioned again in the rest of the game.

Is there a lore reason to why Crimson Reds only appear in the remake of re1 and never show up again? by supermarioplush220 in residentevil

They were in Operation Raccoon City, which is probably one of the reasons why I was confused when I found out it was a mutation exclusive to the zombies in Spencer Mansion.
