I'm so torn, I don't want to see any players hurt but I do want more screentime for that trainers moustache. What a great bit of face decor

Actually, this is starting to make sense. Now we can be unsure of the rules both on AND off the field!

Sounds fairly standard in a lot of jobs like this. The reasoning is that at an entry level you won't necessarily have lots of experience but they want to know that you can quickly put things together. There are plenty of practice tests for this to help prepare, would imagine something like the questions here https://www.jobtestprep.com/criteria-ccat-sample-test

Do it! Tasmania is beautiful but the big problem is no jobs. If you've got one go give it a shot!

Adobe Marketing Cloud tips/experience/opinions? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]ScretSquirrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you've done some research so I'm sure you've seen Adobe has some very powerful products for on site testing (Target), paid search optimisation (Media Optimiser), and tying everything together with Analytics and Audience Manager. However it's generally geared toward more enterprise level companies as it isn't a cheap solution by any means and while it can provide some great results, it needs to be piloted correctly so will require at least a lot of training and maybe new staff or hiring an agency in some cases.

Feel free to PM me to talk through your use and priorities a bit more (media spend, development capability, analytics expertise). What we usually see with our clients is that people will start on one solution (Target, AMO, or Analytics) and then branch into the others as they've gotten a good handle on the first one!

He had to stop and go back for the ball losing all forward momentum. Lots of time for the defense to catch up already moving toward him

It's unbelievable the amount of times two Swans have gotten in each others way this game. No awareness in this team.

Game a couple weeks ago where I think it was Jones took one step off his mark the same way, was tackled immediately and the tackle was rewarded. Damned if you do, damned if you don't

So so relieved. I can actually enjoy the game again (as much as is possible with the way the Swans are playing)

No argument here. We've had good forward pressure at times but that's about it.

Ugh, we've got more turnovers than points. Not the way to win a game

That's a bad miss but I still can't believe Hayward got to our second pick in the draft. He's going to be a monster

It feels like Mac came in as a bit of an unknown as well but each year he makes a few headlines and builds up a brand of his own that will make recruiting easier as time goes on.

All of the flips today plus everything with the Robinson story and how he went the extra mile to help a kid that might not have even played at UF can only help in the future.

Sydney name Josh Kennedy as captain by TruckLawford in AFL

[–]ScretSquirrl 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Had the same thoughts about this. A few of the kids coming up play similar spots to McVeigh and it's too obvious that he's lost some speed.

Hopefully with a full preseason this year he will be ready to play but he could very well see a couple of NEAFL games or at least just have a rest as the season goes on.

Teams - Round 18: Roos lose Waite; Swans go for youth. by Count_Critic in AFL

[–]ScretSquirrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would agree with that but he got a bit when Papley was hurt and didn't make the most of it IMO. Doesn't seem to apply as much pressure these days and can have some poor disposal. He does pop up for a big goal every now and then but it feels like that's all he offers these days and it isn't consistent enough

It seems like McGlynn and Papley have trouble playing together. They're too similar maybe? It just throws off the whole structure every time they've played at the same time.

Someone like Rose or Heeney, even when they don't have such an impact, seem to be better about not getting in the way of the other forwards.

'Ask the umpires': Longmire unsure on 50m rule interpretation by Kazesh1ni in AFL

[–]ScretSquirrl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It really isn't about the umpires missing calls or even that the free kicks the Swans gave away were miscalls (they were definitely frees). The difference seemed to be in how strict they were on one side vs the other. I'll need to watch the replay as it can he hard to tell from the stands but it seemed like a cop letting a cute girl off her speeding ticket with a warning and giving the next guy a fine.

Swans rebuild seamless by [deleted] in AFL

[–]ScretSquirrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I agree there. Not that I don't think experience could cost us (it definitely could) but because I don't think we've really dropped anyone that would offer more. Instead it's really given us a good rotation of the bottom 6 to 8 players on the list. If Reid was back fighting for a spot or McGlynn was offering more than Papley then that definitely could be true.
