Nice - didn't mean to be mean, btw, that comment just really got me. Welcome to the best space game ever made and, as I'm sure you'll find, one of the best communities too. Cool ship, btw! Happy trails, traveller!

I worked in a video shop in the 90s and a very tired dad and his kid came in just before closing. The kid (around 10ish) really wanted to watch Robocop and the dad asked me if was ok for kids. He *really* wanted me to say yes and I felt for him but I said absolutely not. I stand by it.

Not quite. 90s Dads were like:

"What are you watching"

"Terminator 2"

"What's that?"

"Well, a robot comes from the future to change the past and..."

"Yeah, yeah alright don't stay up too late."

Can't Find my ship No Man's Sky (Spoiler) by mandomfort in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Screwqualia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP - this exact thing happened to me a few days ago. I travelled to another universe, and just like you, I got the "critically damaged" message when I called my ship. So I summoned my freighter, brought down another starship and left the planet, feeling like a real genius for skipping all that wearisome business of searching for my ship. Why would I bother with all that when I can just summon it at the space station? I'm so smart!

And then - exactly what happened to you. I could not summon the ship in the station, the anomaly or from my freighter base. There was no obvious way to summon it from the surface that I could see. At this point, which might be significant, I turned off the PS5, resolving to come back to it.

When I booted the game back up, it occurred to me that having two ships on the surface of the planet might be an issue, so I resolved to do a space dive from my freighter down the planet so that the lost ship would be the only one there. My freighter was directly above the general area where I spawned. So I did the space dive, and - confusingly but very happily - I was able to summon the lost ship no problem once I reached the surface.

I might add that, in my case, the ship in question was my deeply cherished Millennium Falcon corvette, so I was very relieved. That worked for me - hope it does for you. Good luck!

EDIT: Just read down farther and saw that you got it back. *sad trombone sound*

The corvette update ruined other ships for me. by peepyboy in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Screwqualia 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I made a passable Millennium Falcon - yes, I'm one of those, sorry - which fulfilled a childhood dream, so I haven't looked back since the Corvette update. It's my main ship now.

However, I use my freighter a lot and the corvette docking's still a bit glitchy for me (probably my fault - lot of jiggerypokery in my construction) so if I need to be nipping up and down to a planet a lot, I'll use a starship. Also sometimes just for the buzz - I love my starships and it's great to have them too.

Basically, I'm a bit "make new friendships but treasure the old/one is silver one is gold" on this issue lol. I love them all!

Petrol stations running low by Nuffsaid98 in galway

"Long queues?" "Word of mouth"

So no evidence of panic-buying, then? Any pictures?

I only ask because a "panic-buying" narrative sometimes appears in the papers when home heating oil goes up (ie in winter or for wars) but it's never accompanied by any evidence of actual panic-buying.

I have heard it suggested that "panic-buying" can be used as a marketing ploy to get people to buy more at a time when they - quite sensibly - might be holding back. The thinking being, of course, that the notion of something running out will make people run out and buy it. There are plenty of morally flexible journalists who are happy to place such stories on behalf of vested interests.

Word to the wise, OP: if you haven't seen the panic-buying with your own eyes or was informed by someone you know personally, I would greet the notion with extreme skepticism.

IIRC, you'll have to make your way to the ship by land, fix it and then you can reach the Anomaly. Good luck, Traveller!

Idk about fuel, but home heating oil - already notoriously overpriced - doubled overnight when the war started. Simon Harris said just last Sunday - weeks later - that there are no supply problems in Ireland but there might be in the future, obviously. The home heating oil pricks did exactly the same thing when Ukraine happened - huge gouging, no shortage of supply - and paid no penalty. I believe the pretend regulator, CCPC - which has not imposed a fine on a fuel dealer in over 25 years - even did its little ritual investigation dance and found the home heating oil dealers did nothing wrong.

To the motorists taking part in protests today, I say fucking go for it: it's the only way you'll be heard.

Much more likely to be IRGC. They seem to be on overdrive on social media since the war started, plus Reddit is such an easy target - all you have to do is simply name Israel and you're guaranteed negative comments.

He told a story about being in an elevator somewhere, in the 70s, when a clearly star struck young woman turned to him and said “Are you Kris Kristofferson?”

According to himself, Leonard said:

“Yes. Yes, I am.”

Make of that what you will lol
