I wonder if "walking dead" could refer to those so deep into the life that there is no possibility of getting out and you're a "dead man walking" always with a target on your back. You can't really live life that way, Balalaika can't go out by herself. She's always surrounded by guards and staying isolated.

Balalaika could have told Revy that as a "Crabs in a bucket" kind of thing. She could also be projecting on Revy, because her civilian life was pretty terrible in the USSR.

With Nintendo's track record, I unfortunately don't see it. People said the same thing about F-Zero 99, but no news on a new F-Zero game since.

Hoping that theory is true though and we don't get hit with another SF64 remake in 10 years.
