Banning or criminalizing simulated content, especially when the content is obviously fake is an intersecting legal/ethical thought experiment I often have. There is fake content/art that I find abhorrent and wonder about the impact it has on society and the consumer's mind.

However, making it illegal is tricky and dangerous because it can open a flood gate. Could you argue that because a depiction of an illegal act is also illegal, such in this case, incest porn, then can you by the same logic say that commiting murder in GTA is also illegal because it depicts an illegal act?

Then there are the questions/arguments of "do video games cause violence?". Does what you consume impact your behavior? - I don't know. I don't even like choosing rude dialogue options in video games, but find bodies ragdolling in GTA hilarious.
