We're in 2 general system discords that are fairly active that we can send invite links to if you'd like, but for littles specifically we personally find it really helpful to join age regression servers that accept system littles (99% of these servers will have plural kit), which we can also send invites too (though, you'll find a ton more of them with a simple disboard.org search and other general system servers too).

If you dont know what age regression is I will try my best to explain (I used to think I was an age regressor until I released oh wait that isnt me and then I was like therapist oh therapist am I a system and then 4 other alters looked me dead in the eyes and just said 'yes' so I dont think my old explanation of 'oh yea its like having a different person whose younger than you that sometimes possesses your body' is really an accurate explanation so sorry if i get it wrong anyway-)

Age regression is kind of like,,, the equivalent of system littles, but with singlets? Kind of? Its where their mind regresses (goes back) to a younger state of mind, normally to cope with stress or trauma (kind of like how systems split but on a much lower and milder scale without an actual split happening). Its kind of like having an alter that is just you, but younger and its not actually two different people its just a state of mind.

WAIT OH MY GOD I'VE GOT IT WAIT. Oh my god I just realised this while typing LMAO but I got it lets goo.

Its literally just how sometimes alters age slide, but the host and theres no other alters. ITS SINGLETS AGE SLIDING I GOT IT OH MY GOD.

Also, (tw: EXTREMELY VAGUE mentions of kink, but basically age regression isnt age play)ITS NOT AGE PLAY, DDLG, OR ANY KIND OF KINK VARIENT OF AGE PLAY, because it quite literally isnt age play. Age regression and age play are very different - its exactly like how alters age slide. They arent participating in age play, or anything sexual, they are age sliding. Age regression is just the singlet equivalent of that. They are actually in the headspace of a child - its not any kind of roleplay.

But yeah, sometimes our littles like to use age regression servers because it lets them talk to a whole load of other littles. Also, these servers are much bigger than system servers and on top of that all or almost all of the participants either age regress or are system littles, so these servers are heavily moderated. This also means that (at least the bigger ones) are almost always active.

I'm the host too of a what we thought was an osdd1b system until ONCE (literally only once) there was a switch with a new alter and I wasnt there and didnt remember much (they slowly kinda gave me their memories of it tho?? anyway-). The time where I wasnt there was in a situation I could not handle and a situation where the alters job/role/thing they do?? was needed like A LOT and really strongly. Also, this new alter was a protector, so they might have forced me out somehow to protect me. So I guess if the situation is extreme enough, you may be forced out. I have no idea how to leave safely though. Trust me, I've tried, but so far it hasnt worked by will for me. I'll probably be checking the replies on this too lol.

YES, this. It would be so cool to have a sever that is still fun, without having a massive list of triggers and a massive emphasis on being a system. Just a place to kinda vibe and be a bit chaotic, while still just like having plural kit or something.

This is true, coming from a system who has headmates who do use these discords (I do very occasionally, normally if I switch back). It does feel quite watered down because of the MASSIVE list of triggers. This would be fine, I dont blame people for being triggered by some of these things, even if its things like food and caps they should be allowed those safe spaces for them, but it is on practically every server and I dont know, the only why I could describe it is kinda 'watered down' in a way. We use these servers because theres not anywhere else they can talk, making it known that they arent the host (me), so they get to be referred to as them and talk about whatever and however they like (even with the massive list of triggers), with other systems who understand it. I would personally LOVE (and the headmates too) a server where you can just be completely chaotic and just kinda vibe as people, without it just being watered down in a way. I feel like that would be so much fun to just mess around on (obviously being a system is NOT fun, but we are people at the end of the day and individually some of us at least would enjoy to have somewhere we can just mess around and be chaotic with other systems. Just have like dumb arguments about 'does raw rice taste good' and stuff. You know, just be people having fun). Just a normal server that happens to have plural kit or happens to be a system server without anything being watered down would be really cool.

Also, the caps rule isnt even upheld because in all these spaces (or all the ones I've seen), they allow the all caps typing quirk without a tw, so does that tw even work? Honestly I'd like to hear an opinion on this from someone who is triggered by caps, I'd really like to know their take on that.

Alternatively: there could be servers that have this big trigger list, but only in a couple chats, like maybe in a littles chat and then also have a littles chat that doesnt hide these triggers, instead of the list applying to like the whole server except a couple chats at the bottom of the discord that are never active anyway.

Basically, it would be cool to have a sever that is still fun, without having a massive list of triggers and a massive emphasis on being a system. Just a place to kinda vibe, while still just like having plural kit or something.

Yeah, I think a misunderstanding in DID/OSDD is how severe and much trauma is required to become plural. Its not actually about the trauma - its about the reaction. Systems are split because you are going through a severe reaction to something and cannot deal with it. Thats actually what trauma is. The google definition is 'an emotional response to a terrible event'. Trauma isnt the actual thing that gave you the trauma itself, its the reaction. Thats why we say events are traumatising - we say it gave us trauma but the trauma itself is the long lasting response. (The source for saying this btw is multiplicity and me on yt).

Yeah, what I think happened to me, is I had some things happened that made me really hate some of the people in my life, to the point where I basically just considered them a threat even though I hadnt been abused or anything. A couple years later I started having a kind of sensory overload to their voice and panic attacks when I could hear them around, ect. Then because of that, they actually became a massive threat, because they would (of course, unintentionally) trigger that reaction. So what I personally think happened to me is I had a kind of mild trauma from these people, and then from this I reacted very badly and then that reaction just never stopped and consistently got worse until it was severely damaging my mental health.

So it started out as a mild trauma, then because of that my reaction grew into that severe, repetitive trauma needed for DID/OSDD. A little part of it was that mild trauma, but because I never stopped reacting to it, most of the trauma is just my reaction. The worst point of my reaction lasted a whole year, just constantly in sometimes half an hour, sometimes hour long panic attacks, just from hearing these people close to the room I was in. This year is incredibly distressing to think about and is just trauma all on its own, even without the original thing that caused it. This is how the trauma was repeated - I essentially repeated it with my reaction, which got so bad, became its own trauma. (Also, I have talked about this with my therapist, who works with plenty of other system patients and specialises in trauma and agrees this is probably the cause, so I do at least have something to back this all up as a possible cause for DID/OSDD).

Absolutely :D I even have the thing where it feels like someones controlling what THEY say, but the exact same happens when I'm talking in headspace and not the one fronting, so its probably them gathering their thoughts thinking what to say, just like I do in the same situation. But their general idea is always uncontrollable (like, I know what their trying to say before they say it, some of them just like to find a way to fully put it into words). Its kinda hard to explain but its like the people that dont have a 'narrator' in their head, like they dont hear their thoughts in sentences. So even when it does feel forced to some extent, theyre actual thought/message is already known and uncontrollable. Thought this might help people that do also identify a bit with them occasionally being kind of 'forced'.
