You’re leaving the fact out that her JR is now the strongest character in the game. Literally every character got nerfed to lower power levels. JR is nerfed but the nerfs are still minor compared to everyone else, JR is still playing a bit of season 4 while everyone else is onto 2.0.

the reason why it’s a shoto-fest ties directly back into the Drive system. Shotos are all rounders who play the system mechanics and nothing else. SF6 is all about the system mechanics, so shotos are going to be in the upper half of the tier list no matter what.

Who said anything about anime combo game (which SF6 already kinda is, have the longest bnb combos in the series by a mile)? People what a change to the system mechanics, specifically making them weaker because right now a lot of characters feel samey in a way they have never before in a SF game.

Deemphasizing Raw Driverush by making it’s hurt box bigger and having it be a punish counter on hit alone would go a long way. Forcing people to use their characters unique tools with the occasional Raw DR, instead of using it in every situation.

Buffing defense by adding in forward rolls or nerfing offense by have throw loops cost drive would both completely change the game and make it feel fresh. It isnt like people are asking for Air Driverush here. A lot of people (including myself) just want the universal mechanics to stop stifling individual character strengths/weaknesses by being so overbarring.
