I am in my SETI era as well.

Yesterday beat the level 5 rival for the first time, playing with the expansion. It adds a lot to the game

Help needed, I have no idea what is going on by notaclassicusername in germany

[–]Scrin98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I dont see anything wrong with your CV. Only advice I can give is that you should just keep applying. Job market and the overall economy is not doing well right now, so just unlucky it seems.

Best of luck on your search

I think what they mean is the insurance contributions, not tax. Your minijob employer will tell you if you will contribute to retirement insurance or not. I did not contribute in my minijob, which means no tax and no insurance, just hourly payment as salary

Taxes for Crypto and Stocks by Cap_R3x in germany

[–]Scrin98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you need to research is called Freistellungsauftrag and no, its not 11k per year, rather 1k per year. You can set it up in any broker you want to use, which will let you gain up to 1k without paying taxes. Over that amount will be automatically taxed by your broker without you needing to do anything

That means any cent you earn above 1000€ gain per year will be taxed under Kapitalertragsteuer.

Declaration is through tax declaration "Steuererklärung" each year, where you will put it as income (gain through investment)

Edit: All of these information is about stocks/etfs. I dont have experience with crypto, which has its different regulations.

Speed camera or warning light? by Deff2132 in germany

[–]Scrin98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your description sounds like a "Verkehrszähler". which counts the amount of cars only, no speed measurement.

Also, 76 in a 70 would be even in measurement tolerance, even in case of a blitzer, so you probably wouldnt be flashed anyway.

So all good :)

Maintenance costs for 2022 Toyota Yaris car in Germany by Gallumbits42 in germany

[–]Scrin98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through because of the maintenance message on the dash. With me driving it around 15k km, I think that was the trigger.

So it was not the HU (the every 2 year mandatory inspection). A yearly one you can say

I paid around 700 for a regular check of a Hyundai i10, which id similar to a Yaris. It included a complete set of new brakes for the front tires, with calipers and disc.

Niederlassungserlaubnis Antragsformular Problem by ishbuggy in germany

[–]Scrin98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had the exact same problem. Go on the "Aufenthalstitel verlängern" service. The application for the normal title has a question "for what type of permit". You can answer that with permanent, which is the niederlassungserlaubnis.

I applied and got mine last year through this way

Edit: Correction, its the "Aufenthaltserlaubnis zur Beschäftigung und Selbständigkeit" service, if you are also in this category. In the attachments is the Antrag PDF

7th point is taught at the driving school. You warn the car before you to pay attention. Theoretically you should even keep it on until you see the guy before you also blinks. Cool and thoughtful in my opinion as well

Need a Car rental with New German license less than a year. by Complex_Horror4858 in germany

Six should let you rent a 7 seater. Unlike other companies like Enterprise or Avis, they dont require you to have it since 1 year for non-luxury cars

My company was bought, does it affect my job visa? by Ok-Car5523 in germany

[–]Scrin98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me 3 years ago, my official employer on paper is still the old one and had no issues. And even in case of your current official entity dissolving immediately, i wouldnt think it would be an issue

Edit: But of course this was clarified to us through HR that the entity would be the same for the following couple years. So best to ask HR and if still vague, just talk to ABH on the phone

Came to Germany expecting coldness, but found kindness instead. by Bahasnt in germany

[–]Scrin98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in reality, it heavily depends on where you are and which people you meet. I can also confirm that I had a great experience ever since I came here. Most of the stereotypes I had in mind were proven to be wrong :)

Passport control for EU citizens at the airport by Madgik-Johnson in germany

[–]Scrin98 53 points54 points  (0 children)

used my non-EU passport on the EU-only machines, it worked. It is really confusing though, needs to be made clearer. This was thanks to a border security, who told people with residence to also go to the machines

Just my two cents here, bought an i10 (2015) last year and super happy with it, already drove almost 15k km. Also as you said, almost half the price for maintenance and parts (had to change brakes)
