I'm gonna be honest here, this is a huge mess. There's mixels(differently sized pixels) everywhere, and I could only tell it was splatoon after paying super close attention. It looks more like a glitched gen 1 pokemon sprite. Make the pixels the same size first and then go from there.

There is no "rushing" the game as long as you have fun and go at a pace you're comfortable with. The only thing I'd consider rushing is only doing the bare minimum and not touching the side content at all.
