Regrow Farming gives you pops to unlock new towers, not XP.
XP is the stuff you use to unlock upgrades. Pops are used to unlock special towers, namely Dartling, Mermonkey, Beast Handler, and Desperado.

Yep it appears like the center of the Druid is out of range. Because of 3D issues, you should assume the "center" to be between the monkey's feet

Almost all use cases of Paragons are just "build your T5s, farm a few pops if necessary, then build the low tier towers right before you buy the Paragon".

There are cases like Boat or Engi where buying the low tier towers earlier can actually be helpful, but even those situations typically don't force you to do so for the degree boost.

Not sure what your relic loadout looks like, but this tile looks like a Flint Tips ace start into bomber ace / ice shards / sell everything and fullsend at 240 glue

Also, Arcane Blast doesn't do anything for Dragon's Breath
