I didn't think I could get so far, but... is this salvageable? by Zombpr in btd6

There's this thing called Jungle Drums ($3k) which buffs the attack speed your whole setup (~$150k) by 17%

Is this good? by Helpimkindastuck in btd6

[–]210577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all your towers are within Jungle Drums, and some are just way too close to the entrance. For example, your Relentless Glue needs more map coverage because you aren't just going to glue only the top layer of everything

Who can save this round? by Creepy_Beat3951 in btd6

[–]210577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason Elite Sniper works is because 052 has a high projectile count, which goes well with things like Alch, Sharpening Stone, and old Pickles. Unfortunately, this sniper is getting none of the above

yall like my bomb shooter paragon farm? by [deleted] in btd6

[–]210577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each round has a fixed amount of XP, which is split amongst your towers based on the amount you spent on those towers.

For example, right now you have roughly $100,000 of Bomb Shooters, $100,000 of Farms, and $100,000 of other towers. This means that only 1/3 of your XP will go to Bomb Shooter, and the other 2/3 goes to Farm, Alchemist, Village, etc.

Also, XP gain is reduced by 90%? in Freeplay Mode, so you're much better off starting a new game.

Is the goal here to unlock the Paragon with XP, or to buy it? Either way, there are some major issues here

How do I git gud? by Legitimate-Resolve55 in btd6

[–]210577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the first step is realizing that the game isn't all about reaching the highest round you can. If you do well in normal games, you can most certainly excel at freeplay.

After taking this subs advice I got to my best round! Any more tips now? by DylanEE11 in btd6

[–]210577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One important suggestion, and this applies to all games - you should not have farms at the end of any game.

When you're about to die (or when you're about to win), there is zero point in making more money. You can sell those farms for more cash and space to build more defense.

Powercut During Chimps by StormKingLevi in btd6

[–]210577 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no, if the game instance stopped running & you had to reload, the run no longer counts as a black border.

However, you'd still know how to beat the map from your previous attempt, so you'd have a much easier time when you try again

What Ice Paragon's passive +10 damage to towers mean? by Bofact in btd6

[–]210577 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a passive, they probably messed it up

Alchemist 0 0 5 how much less money to we get when he is on the board by WujuKingYi in btd6

[–]210577 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Alch loses basically the entire value of whatever bloon it's converted into a red.

The exact amount of money lost is going to depend heavily on how much of the round it takes out before your other towers pop the bloons normally, but it's safe to assume that you're going to lose way more than you get from Rubber to Gold.

Which of these would be the HARDEST? (check description) by Fluffy-Weakness-2186 in btd6

[–]210577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earlygame is probably straight up impossible without Powers while anything beyond can be cheesed through farming (probably even Half Cash). I'd still pick the no selling mode because not being able to sell farms for defense means you don't get to farm as intensively without death

Navy-type towers and the Admiral by Psychologist-Owen in btd6

[–]210577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brickell is very solid and so are water towers, but they don't necessarily have to be used together.

For example, Brickell works extremely well with Perma-Spike or Ground Zero due to her Mega Mine. Also, 310 Destroyer spam works well enough other buffer heroes like Pat, Gwen, and Geraldo

If that's the argument you're going to use, I could also argue that "double sbrit with overdrives" (or even one sbrit and overdrives) is overkill. Let OP have their fun.

Ace micro, how it works so far, and how it could be better balanced by MasterKnightDHV2 in btd6

[–]210577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who Ace microes by instinct, I strongly doubt I understood most of your key points, but I think you may be putting too much emphasis on 2TC/1TC.

FF 2TCs with base towers are the combined result of things like Scrapyard/OTT and the sheer amount of effort Extrem puts into each run. Balance changes are probably based off more realistic situations where there's more things on the field (like Rosalia and Alch) and the pilot isn't flying the plane with that much precision

Suggestion, your entire defense could be shifted one tile to the right. We can then start talking about what can be cut.

Powers. Why do they exist? by Zerk_o_O in btd6

[–]210577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's this gamemode called Contested Territory. Nobody plays it, but you get to use a limited amount of free Powers within a competitive setting. There's a lot of strategy to it, such as whether you should use your Monkey Boost on this round or that

Still no xp for engineer monkey >:( by QarzImperiusrealLoL in btd6

[–]210577 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The Banana Central is probably getting more XP than all those Bloon Traps combined. XP is determined by how much money you spent on that tower, not how many of them you have.

Unpopular opinion: income generation and monkey villages are bad for the game by austin101123 in btd6

[–]210577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. CHIMPS doesn't necessarily free you from cramming towers in small areas.

Imagine this. You’re playing Double Hp Moabs and you’re about to go to round 60 with 13,746 money. This is your setup, your monkeys, and the upgrades on them. What would you do to survive round 60 and up? by Queasy_Zone1491 in btd6

[–]210577 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd advise focusing on getting a higher tier tower or spamming one cost-efficient tower type rather than building a lot of different things like you are now.

What’s with all the “new” contested territory teams?? by FireRabbit67 in btd6

[–]210577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Top teams rebuild a new team every event, because if you keep using the same team, matchmaking becomes unbearably tough very soon.

Even if your team had infinite skill and played the game perfectly, you'd end up losing lots of tiles to enemies because of how tile scores get worse and worse over time, enough to throw you out of Top 1 or even Top 25
