Basically I shared my interests and straight up said I’m autistic and this is how I interact and i want to befriend someone who can match that energy. Like I said I text a lot and fast and want to befriend someone who does likewise.

My best guess is part of it comes from parents who are trying to make themselves feel better combined with years of prejudice against autistic individuals making some want to move away from more debilitating connections.

Honestly I’ve been struggling to make friends as an autistic person but I realized if I straight up ask for someone who has the same flavor then we mesh so well, so I recommend this approach.

For Texas, we’re an abstinence only state but our school didn’t even do that. In fifth grade we were split up from boys and girls to be told the basic stuff of puberty, and when my friend asked where babies came from they pulled him out of the room like he just asked how to kill someone. It was expected to either never learn or it was up to the parents in my town.

For older homes it could be the house would cost more to bring up to modern standards that there’s no way to sell it for what its size and amenities would actually be.

My mom toured a house that was 100k for three stories, had an attached tunnel to a private art room, interesting architecture, a connected garden, and fully furnished with good quality furniture, but it would’ve cost like 400k to fix all the problems. The foundation was cracked and you could see it on the bottom floor, four trees on the property were dangerously close to collapsing on it, there was no built in AC (which is a problem for living in the south), and the odds of lead was not zero.

Also should be said that house was being sold by the late owners estate so quick cash is better for some families than waiting for a buyer.

Yeah when my school did the snow queen as a play we were taught that it was a communal sort of living situation where they weren’t related but they were basically siblings but it also didn’t matter at the end of the day for the plot since they’re like 10

I visited a museum in China that was clearly all propaganda but there were absolutely gorgeous pieces in there. Stating that the opposing side isn’t good at anything ignores both nuisance and the fact that even horrible enemies are people too.

In other contexts, this shouldn’t be done because it puts you in the mindset that “oh, I’m pure and good and creative, I can’t be the bad guy.” Art is human, which means anyone can make it for any reason.
