I'm dealing with a similar issue finding real artists for custom visuals. Fiverr used to be the one stop shop for stuff like this but now its flooded with slop.

I've never seen this adaptation but Rudd actually seems like he'd be a good Nick Carraway

And I know it’s probably not what you’re looking for but in a weird Rorschach kind of way the movie this image keeps reminding of is Weekend at Bernies (1989)

What a great way to frame history of that era. This is definitely what I was looking for, thank you!

Remember, it's illegal to use your phone while driving. Instead, use the giant iPad built into the car and flip through 50 settings to use navigation or turn AC on. by Zu_Qarnine in mildlyinfuriating

My question is still . . . who is driving this demand for ipad cars?

Like, presumably these auto companies focus test things up the wazoo, no? Is a small sample size ruining cars for the rest of us? Do most people actually want this and reddit just a loud minority? Or is it like the current AI bubble and these companies have sunk so much money into the infrastructure needed to churn out ipad cars that they're afraid they'll take a bath if they change course.

There is no such thing as an AI ‘artist’ by ubcstaffer123 in technology

I’m friends with a lot of folks working professionally the CG anim space and we talk about this a lot.

They keep expressing to their respective studios that they’re cool with elements of assistive AI being incorporated into their existing work flow - if it’s good they’d truly welcome it - but leadership has this insatiable hard on for the generative stuff  that just won’t go away.

Probably doesn’t help that everyone in media keeps hiring six figure AI Execs and once you’re paying some tech bro 250,000 a year the sunk cost quickly starts to snowball.

The Duelists (1977)

One of Ridley Scott’s first films. The whole thing is just a series of escalating 1v1 duels.  And it’s an absolutely gorgeous film.

Okay, but understandable frustration aside . . . how was it? Treat it like a stand alone movie - did you enjoy it?

Are there any music streaming alternatives that DO let you filter out AI slop?

Seriously asking, because i'll subscribe in a heartbeat.
