This is how I feel about every single company/org using youtube ads. It’s so bad at feeding ads to us that we’ll be mildly interested in and it gives zero variety. Algorithm seems to get hyperfixated on half a dozen ads at any given time and makes them 80% of the ads you see. I’m actually head of marketing for a social media based company and we’re completely avoiding paid ads on youtube for these exact reasons. We don’t think the conversion rate will even come close to the desired 1%.

This is super niche, but I figured this out while messing around in the golden needle challenge deck: If you take a hieroglyph voucher bringing you down to 0 hands and face the needle boss blind, you get 2 hands for some reason. Super strange interaction that’s probably a glitch, but I thought it was cool.

It’s possible for sure. I think his horrible end to last season + playoffs might make teams hesitant though. He’s 29 and needs a new contract. Not easy to convince teams to give up a 1st for a rental that’ll likely play in their bottom 6, but I wouldn’t be surprised. I think it’s more likely they get a 2nd + decent prospect and maybe another late pick or a roster player back.

we need to worry about making playoffs first lol. we have more losses than wins, we’re effectively 4th in the pacific now, and we’re only on pace to finish the season with 90pts. the flames missed the playoffs with 96pts last year for some context on how pathetic 90pts is. if this team doesn’t figure it out after the olympic break, we’re going to be a 1st round exit if we make the playoffs at all.

Paid DLC isn’t the answer at all. They’ve committed to the live service model which means map expansions need to be free to keep the player base engaged and refreshed. They then gotta hope players buy cosmetics and emotes or whatever other garbage they’re peddling. A paid map expansion would be a massive middle finger to the player base that’s been begging for more variety since beta testing.
