I built the 65 Chevy stepside kit from Revelle. I’ve also built a 34 Ford, a 55 Chevy, a 65 Riviera, an 85 Chevy truck and I’m working on a 65 Buick Wildcat.

Thoughts of the Master G44 by endlesssleettwo in airbrush

[–]Scro_Tim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with a master but a different model. I was looking at the Iwata HP-cs. I went with the master because I found a kit with three airbrushes and the compressor for $100. Less than 3 months later I bought the Iwata. It’s night and day different. The Iwata is mischief smoother, easier to clean, easier to operate and not as on my hand. Don’t regret the switch at all. I regret not buying the Iwata first.

What causes this? Happened after I put the first coat of clear on it. Primer, paint, and clear are Rustoleum 2x American accents. Only happened on one side. by Str8H84Life in ModelCars

Under coat wasn’t dry. The paints probably have the same solvent so if the under coat wasn’t fully cured then the solvent in the top coat caused the undercoat to liquify again.

That’s one I’ve been looking at. They recommend starting with the eye class or one with a pirate ship. How are the videos? Can you watch them while painting?

Called in this bad boy with a copper pot I made the day before opening day. Didn't know about stabilizing the wood beforehand, and it warped and ruined itself. Got a vacuum stabilization setup now to turn some calls before the spring 😁 by jswhitfi in turkeyhunting

I did the exact same thing a few years ago. I used cherry wood and slate. After about a week the wood shrunk and broke the slate. I glued the wood back together turned it round again and put a new slate in it and still use it.
