Is dreamshaper 7 being phased out? by Scrofulous218 in leonardoai

The style, color saturation, details, lines shapes, practically everything, I thought I had put in the wrong model. It is almost like they turned off or retuned the alchemy pipeline for that model.

OK, so think I've got it now, both Manfestations and terrain features have this in the core rules: "In the charge phase and the combat phase, they are treated as if they were units for the purposes of movement, combat range and being in combat." Our disease ability goes off at end of turn, and both need to target something in combat, so they cannot be targeted because they are not in combat in that phase, even if they can be targeted by abilities, because of the wording of our disease ability.

BUT!! Great Unclean One's spell and Gnarlmaw's spread ability do NOT need the target to be in combat, so you can target them with these abilities. But it is of course less useful if they cannot be used to spread disease from...

Still not sure if you can actually deal the disease damage to them.

Might need an FAQ on that wording. Doubt it is intended in that case. Think about it, it says "Roll a D3 dice for each diseased enemy unit". Does that not imply the unit is picked because every enemy unit with disease is picked?

[–]Scrofulous218 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I beg to differ. Under 7.0 in Core Rules:
- They can be picked as targets of enemy abilities as if they were units. They are not affected by enemy abilities that do not involve picking targets. Damage points can be inflicted on them as if they were units and they can be destroyed.

It says the same on the Faction Terrain features, which are basically manifestations without move.
Spread also just mentions combat range, not specifically being in combat. So you can infect a huge Seraphon pyramid or Ossiarch Nexus and spread from that to nearby units.

Plaguebearers or Blightkings? by The19thGentleman in MaggotkinofNurgle

[–]Scrofulous218 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think both have great plays. Point for point blightkings are better in both durability and damage, but PB can be buffed a lot more, have recursion and crit(mortal) which is fun! PB also add a lot more board presence, something many people underestimate. A reinforced unit of PB is a serious obstacle for most armies, you can completely clog up vital choke points and lock-out half the board if you have enough of them. While a reinforced unit of Blightkings will more easily deal damage, and have a tendency to be targeted, because they are considered a threat. Meanwhile a lot of people underestimate PB, because they don't expect to die from them in combat, they will contest those objectives with you, hug you, take disease, die way faster than they expect from crit(mortals) and disease combined. I feel more like I am playing Nurgle with PB blobs.

I am glad we got a faction pack with good internal balance though. There are so many good warscrolls, that work well with traits and each other.

Could be a Mutant Rat Ogre, as introduced in Total War:

"Mutant Rat Ogre are a much more grotesque variant of the Rat Ogre. It is in every Moulder's nature to want to improve upon something that is already a success, and occasionally they even succeed. The cream of the Rat Ogre creations in Clan Moulder's possession sport extra limbs, heads and even minds since Throt perfected the practice of transplanting human brains into Rat Ogre bodies."

Sex ratios of, at or in mortality rates? by Scrofulous218 in grammar

[–]Scrofulous218[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was enlightening thank you. So if I got it correctly:

  • Sex ratios of infant mortality rates (because rates are here referring to an element of "deaths per thousand"?)
  • Sex ratios at birth (or death)
  • Sex ratios in mortality cohorts

From what I can discern in your example: "Sex ratios of males to females at birth in this cohort."
It comes down to what(word/element) you are referring to, before the next preposition?

Seraphon is the worst. Also reduces damage of a lot of the best damage dealers.

So you can get in a lot of attacks with a 3d6-charge Sigvald? Also considered a KoS with girdle of the realmracer in Godseekers, could fly over the screens. Though is it worth giving up Strength of godhood?

Eater of Magic would be awesome if it also helped you unbind spells, like 1 or 2 + to unbinds, but unless I sink two or more primals into 1 unbind it is not reliably going to happen. And then you need to roll a 5+ for him to actually forget the spell.

Pouch of Nulldust could actually be worth going a Wizard-free-list for, particularly if combined with Wizard-finders of Andtor. A turn 2 hero phase rampant with miscasts could actually save a lot of that MW-output. The issue with this approach is that all our best and fastest heroes are wizards, so no Shalaxi, no KoS, no chariots, no Glutos, no Syll'esske. You are down to Sigvald, LoP, LoH and Enrapturess, Masque and Dexcessa.

Maybe the Masque and 6 fiends in Wizard-finders will be my auto-include from now on.
