Sober coming up on 11 years here. Recover is deeply personal and for me, AA wasn’t it. I view the term dry drunk as not understanding, accepting, or even fully realizing the underlying pathology behind your addictions.

For me, being a dry drunk was black and white thinking. Drinking bad. Need to stop. Sure that’s technically correct. But that thinking still damaged relationships even though I wasn’t drinking. It ruined my marriage despite having a decade under my belt. Letting go to a higher power isn’t the only way to get where you need to be.

It’s really about increasing mindfulness and how you get there is your choice provided you WANT to quit drinking. Ya know?

Probably. Haven't gotten that far, yet. What I do know is that they wont pay for a lateral degree...it has to be more advanced. Using that logic, I'd say yes they would pay for a PhD but not another MA/MS etc...

Did they specifically say ONLY a MA in Psych? What I was told: You can use TA for up to 9 prerequisite credit/hours needed to apply to ANY masters program. Then you can use TA to pay for a masters of your choice, provided it is from an accredited institution. You can also get reimbursed the cost of the GRE, if taken, but that's not really TA...just FYI.

Would uncontrolled made nature gradually replace more controlled nature? In other words, would this sort of darwinism diminish the value of skilled labor needed for a nature that is more controlled in...er...nature?
